Discussion topic for HOLY BREAKER! -The Witch Betrayed Blue Moon Wicca.-. Since the game is still very new, please tag any comments about the story that may ruin the experience for others to hear with [spoiler].

I’d like for this topic to initially welcome people who have yet to play the game or are still playing through the game, but once the game has been out for a while and enough people have read through it, then I will consider lifting the spoiler restrictions. Has anyone else here played this game yet? (or even gotten it to run for that matter?)

I played through it the other day and was mildly disappointed with how short it was. It didn’t have any choices and was only about an hour’s worth of reading. It did have a couple pretty cool battle scenes though, so it wasn’t all bad.

This was established ages ago. It’s a short kinetic novel like planetarian.

So, did you understand the story? What did you think of it?

I vaguely remember hearing that it had one choice, but maybe I’m just remembering wrong. It was far shorter than Planetarian though, I would bet that someone who reads Japanese faster than I can could read through it in like 20-30 minutes, whereas Planetarian is good for a couple hours at least.

The story was very Hinoue-like and it had a higher percentage of fighting than Kud Wafter had of porn, so it felt really bare bones, but it was pretty interesting for what it’s worth.

Okay, so I’m going through the VN for a review of it to help anyone who is thinking of preordering it later this month, and I’d like some opinions.
I’m pretty sure I’m still in the introduction, but I’m wondering if it gets any more engaging anytime soon. Right now I’m at the part at school where Haruka shows up and they talk about Izumo’s sister’s condition (Touko was it?)
I struggled to read planetarian too, so I think this might end up the same way… Might have to drop it x.x

Unless you like Chuuni battle scenes, then not really. If it helps at all though, you’re a little less than a quarter through the game, so it might be worthwhile to just tough it out for the review.

I couldn’t get far into Holy Breaker. My kanji knowledge is little to none… orz

BTW, does anyone recognise the seiyuus? I’m pretty sure Sugiyama Noriaki did Hida’s voice but I can’t get a hold of the girls’ voices.

Abeno Haruka voiced by Nakamura Eriko, Tenma Minase by Inoue Nana.
I must say they didn’t do the casting very well. At times I almost can’t hear their voice at all. Maybe they should take attention to the volume balance.

I read through the whole story last night and the time flies.
I don’t know how much time I put coz I read it in few night when I was idle. Probably around 5 hours.
It’s pretty good length I think.
It has pretty good ending and conclusion for this chapter. Minase is super cute!!! I can’t spoil to you but the protagonist has really great hidden secret. I was a bit moved when the secret revealed.

No wonder it will have sequel because it’s not over yet. Haruka acts like a bad guy here, but protagonist doesn’t know more about her.
