There’s something inherently funny about the Twinkle Starlight audio karaoke version. I dunno, I imagine the Planetarian ED but it’s little chibi Key staff guys with a stumped Yumemi looking on while the credits start thanking the entire island of Kyushu person-by-person.
FUNimation’s show page lists Planetarian at 12:30 PM ET (about 30 mins from post). That’s 2 shows (that I know of) that they mixed up AM/PM on the schedule http://www.funimation.com/shows/planetarian/home
The funimation site says it’s subscribers only D: Will it be free after a week, like Crunchyroll? I wanted to watch Love Live!: The Next Generation too.
The art director for this adaptation also fulfilled that same role in Standalone Complex, Guilty Crown and Gankutsuou, which are all considered to be some of the most visually distinct anime ever produced.

If it was up to me, I would read the kinetic novel because there is more insight into the game and the experience is remarkably wonderful. The novel captured more [VN spoilers]of the details surrounding the harsh environment and the hopelessness of the city that was laid ridden of the war eradicating plants, animals, and humans. Yumemi, being the only guiding light of the planetarium, wanted to show how much the stars really meant to her as she becomes the narrative to the Junker in wanting for him to experience the wondrous view of the night sky.
Of course, I can say for myself that I have enjoy the novel very much and it is an uplifting and yet somber reminder that [VN spoilers]as Yumemi had stated that if we are ever lost in the world, we should never forget what we seen today.
@Purple I recently wrote a blog post arguing that the VN has a very impressive aesthetic, and I would certainly say that the worldbuilding and the writing in the anime is not as good. In fact, I would say that the anime is inferior in pretty much every way, but never by much.
I read the VN first though, so it’s clear that I’m biased, and I’ve seen plenty of comments from anime-only people who enjoyed it a lot.
I think you should just consider what form of storytelling you enjoy more, static/self-controlled pacing vs animated, and then decide
