Anyway, Perfect Blue went great, even if there were only four of us there again. Definitely crazy, you could probably see the ending in at least two different ways. Would recommend. I can see why Satoshi Kon is so highly praised for his directing!

About 11 hours til closing time! Pretty clear who’s gonna win, but you could change that… maybe… or maybe you dont want to change it /shrug
Well, looks like this one is already decided and it’d again be something I am not interested in at all, so if nothing changes, I can already say, that I am again not coming.
I don’t mean to undermine the efforts of the people who put together this event, but I feel that since some people are unwilling to see next week’s movie, I would like to come up with an alternative for people who feel left out.
Dont worry about me, if this is about that. I am just really picky and I dont feel left out at all. It’s about what most people want to watch, which is completly ok. I am just unlucky, that mostly that one I dont like comes out at the top.
Well, part of the reason I suggested it was because this is the second movie I’ve had to withdraw from because of personal and religious standards, so it feels a bit unfair to me. Plus, I’m sure Silly won’t want to see it either considering he withdrew from last week’s showing of Perfect Blue, so I thought it would be a good idea to bring people who don’t want to watch this movie to start a separate movie night.
If people are against the idea, then I’m cool with that. I was just trying to set up some options, because I would still like to have a Movie Night to comfortably attend, if possible.
I’m going to pull some magic and make this one.
I dont think doing a sepparate one is a good idea. The whole point is just having fun watching some random movies together. Whatever your reason may be, there is always next time. Just sit it out and the time will come, when something ok for you pops up again.

Holding another public event at the same time as this one will… well I wouldnt call it undermining, but it would probably hurt both events to hold them at the same time. If you want to talk to people who have specifically said they don’t want to come this week, then you’re welcome to do so, but this is certainly not the place for that.

[/quote]Its not unfair. No one and no thing is forcing you to watch or not watch this movie with us. It’s your own choice, and its not any of our faults that you feel uncomfortable with some of the movies we have chosen to watch. We will respect your decision either way, even if we dont agree with your choice or reasoning (at least I will).
Once again, the Kaza Movie Night topic is not at all the place where you should be discussing having a separate movie night. I don’t really care if you and some other guys want to go watch a different movie, but it doesnt have anything to do with this movie night.

Eh, but does this movie have sex and stuff? It doesn’t seem like it.
as far as I know it doesnt.
It does have an amount of nudity, whether that nudity is sexualised or not is another thing entirely but I’d say it isn’t. It has some fairly, whilst not gorey, graphic violence and is very blatant in what it is saying about the human condition. (I have no clue what would make you have to drop out but hey I think this is everything questionable about it).

oh, so it has nudity? It’s been so long I really dont remember any details anymore, I just remember, that I didnt like it.
I mean it isn’t like ecchi nudity, just the protagonist being naked some times. Like in the opening sequence and some stealthy segments. There’s also another case of nudity from another character I believe, and come to think of it I guess there’s something you could count as a sex scene though it isn’t explicit at all.
It’s rated 14 in Brazil…
