Quick question/s do we need to talk on Skype or no? And I’m not sure exactly what I do once the movies selected.
All the info is in the OP, but I will relay it to you:
We use Mumble to talk while watching the movie. You do not have to talk if you dont want to though, you could mute your mic and just listen to us talk.
Once the movie is selected, you will need to obtain the movie on your own (in other words, we wont be streaming it), and then on movie night we all get together and press play at the same time

Perfect Blue won, we’ll be watching it on June 28 at 00:00 UTC. Or June 27 24:00 UTC, if you want to do it how Japan apparently does it.
Just to warn you all, this is a psychological thriller-horror movie. Just wanted to let you know in case you dont like that stuff.

Despite how I seem, I’m actually very excited to watch this movie. Thing is, I’m almost positive I wont be able to make it. And if I am, I wont be able to use my mic ;_;
There weren’t as many votes this time, but I hope at least more people will show up than last time! The director, Satoshi Kon, is critically acclaimed, and I’ve heard some great things about this movie.

Sorry, I guess I didnt imply it enough. Perect Blue is rated R, probably for violence and some mild nudity.
ok, not gonna be there. I watched this movie once and never again.
Does it have nipples? Because if it has, I’m out.
Im sorry, I havent seen it before. Im simply going off what the internet says. I’d suggest that if you’re worried about it, you do some searching of your own.
If anyone else is interested. This movie has even received a R18 in Canada and New Zealand!!!

I will not be attending this Movie Night either. It is against my religious views to watch movies with such explicit content in it. Please understand. I will do my best to make it to the next Movie Night!

If its like elfen lied nudity then Im fine with that as long as there isnt a sex scene. Cant remember what I voted for or what its about either will try to be there though all depends on what I have going on as I’m getting ready to move within that week.

Silly, Im guessing you didnt intend this, so Im not blaming you. Hell, I might even be taking this a little too personally. But please don’t try scare away other people.
You and I both know (as you’re the one who looked it up and posted it) that just saying “there is rape” doesnt adequately describe that scene. @Kerticana, the “rape” scene is fake. It is actors filming a movie. The actors are mostly clothed, and the penetration is off-screen. If that is still going to bother you, then thats no problem, I would never want people do force themselves to be uncomfortable in that kind of way. But at least to me, I feel like thats a distinction that needs to be made.
I didn’t think I would have to say this, but I guess I will anyway: Everyone. Perfect Blue is an adult movie. It is a psychological horror-thriller, and contains violence, murder, and nudity. It is not a hentai. If you don’t like, or are not comfortable with that kind of stuff, then don’t watch. If you are unsure about it, then look up parental guidance stuff like Silly did. I will not be offended. If you are adult enough to be talking to random strangers on the internet, then you are adult enough to decide whether or not to watch this movie. But I will encourage you to watch nonetheless.

Sorry, then… I left the parental guide quite visible, so I thought he would’ve seen it… Oh, and I missed the “mainly clothed” part, so I assumed there wouldn’t be much difference. (Off-screen penetration is a logical conclusion, because if it wasn’t like this, it would be hentai.)
