The nipple scenes are pretty important.
I believe an important thing to mention is whether people want to view the original or the remaster. I would personally recommend the original unless you like watching funky CG… The original has very good art and I find it to be superior- However the audio of the remaster is much nicer. As far as I know the run times are identical…? I don’t remember the remaster doing any changes- Just a different coat, really.
Um… So it’d be better not to attend… It seems like japanese dudes refrain from showing those stuff in TV, but when it comes to movies, they just pull everything of this sort, huh?
Things changed in time with more perversion being the purpose- Nudity in GITS is void of any form of perversion, but it is there.

IMPORTANT PSA! PLEASE READ!
OK guys, I guess it was going to happen eventually, but no one except for @Naoki_Saten showed up for Movie Night. Obviously, we need to take some steps to make sure this isnt a regular occurrence. Here’s the problem: 0 out of the 6 people who voted for Ghost in the Shell showed up. The only person out of those six who even implied that he might not make it was @Bizkitdoh. And for the past couple sessions, most of the people who have showed up didnt even vote for the movie we were watching.
Im not gonna make you guys do like an official role call of who’s gonna be there, but this is just silly. We have people skipping out because they dont want to watch the specific movie, but then no one who voted for it shows up?
So I am imposing one new rule, and one new request:
If you know you arent gonna be there, DONT VOTE. Pretty simple.
If for whatever reason, after voting has finished, you find out or decide that you arent going to be there, then please tell me, either on the forum or on skype. If not enough people are going to show up, and we know about it early enough, there’s a possibility that we could reschedule. And if not, we will at least cancel it so people dont wake up early or stay up late for an event thats not happening.
As for what we will do about Ghost in the Shell, I will simply put it back in the list of recommendations, as if it were any of the other movies that didnt win.
And finally, here’s the poll for voting for session 8!
My problem is that I never remember when it is until after the fact. I know the countdown timer is supposed to prevent that, but I never seem to check that when it’s close enough to the actual event (2 days in advance isn’t enough for me- that’s no one’s fault but my own, though).
In this case I really did end up being out last-minute, though, so my bad on that one.
well, in that case someone might be nice enough to tweet at you on the day of the movie night to remember you. I wouldnt mind doing that, but I am kinda like that too and I mostly only remember, when I see the messages popping up on my skype.

Patema Inverted is fucking awesome! One of my favorite anime movies. I wanna be there for this one! I wanna hear people’s reactions.
I may or may not join you for this one. It hasn’t been that long since I’ve seen Patema Inverted, so it’ll depend on my mood whether or not I’ll decide to stay awake for it.
I haven’t experienced this one, but it seems like it’s safe for watching, so expect me to be there! I’m excited to know how this one turns out!

In all seriousness, though, I have confidence that there will be a chance for some western work to shine here. There’s only so many anime movies out there, and it’s only a matter of time before we go through them all and move on to western animation. Just be patient and keep voting.
Because I have been reminded of a really fun movie that I may or may not have watched more than ten years, I’d like to add in a suggestion:
