Introduce Yourself!

Thank you! Also I followed @Armando_Rl 's advice and I took a look at Little Busters!. It looks really nice! But since the official translation has been announced I guess I have to wait till the release to play it.
I don’t have time now anyway since I have an exam Wednesday, really not looking forward to that

I’ll take a look at the forum whenever I’m tired of learning

Eyo @tunk4l, greetings from your friendly german neighbour^^
LB is top, and good luck with your exam!

Welcome to Kazamatsuri, @tunk4l. Welcome aboard the CLANNAD hype train.

I live in the Netherlands so I hope the time difference with the USA won’t be to much of a problem during the bookclub.
We’re encouraged to read at our own pace, so as long as you don’t wait for weeks to read a single route, you’ll be fine.

I have also watched the anime, but not the after story (yet).
You do know After Story is pretty much the entire reason CLANNAD is so popular, right? I can see why you might put it aside since it’s the best part, but…it’s After Story. I’ve heard the VN has better closure than the anime, but you still owe yourself to see After Story in some form. We will all be reading it together for the bookclub, so this is a good opportunity to experience what I’m sure will be an amazing route.

Hello I am Pumpkin I am a new user.

My first key visual novel was Little Busters I played it sometime around 2012 it was super fun except the “feels” scenes I never really liked that type of genre.

Then sometime around 2013 I found out about Rewrite and played it and it was amazing it lacked some stuff but the story is what made me love it.

In 2014 I watched Clannad it was just as good as Little Busters but same problem.

Then in December Charlotte was announced I was quite dissapointed since I was excepting Rewrite anime but I watched it when it aired anyway and quite liked it the superpowers were interesting.

And in Charlotte’s last episode Rewrite anime was announced I was super happy I currently cannot wait for more information to release and for it to air.

I also watched Angel Beats at some point but I don’t really remember when but it was quite enjoyable and interesting but once again the “feels” were annoying.

So I am mostly here just for Rewrite.

Yes but that is exactly why I stopped at After Story, because I wanted to play the game before watching the anime. However I never finished the game, suddenly got busy and afterwards never returned to it. Also the further I went into the story of Nagisa, the worse the translation, which sometimes missed entire sentences

So this is a really nice opportunity to start again and finish it

Look at what Rewrite has done!
My first Key VN was also Rewrite and it’s the one with the most serious stuff Key has made (well, Charlotte might another contestant). I loved it. But I always say that if you didn’t cry you didn’t enjoy it enough! But well that’s just my point of view.
It will be interesting having you here and reading your opinions! I share the hype for the Rewrite Anime.

Can you share where are you from and other interests? Just if you want.

I am from Scotland.

I am basically a Hikikomori (NEET) I play games and watch anime all day.

My favourite games are The Elder Scrolls and Assassins Creed series their stories are just so amazing.

I also play some multiplayer games like Town of Salem, OSRS, CSGO really addicting and fun.

My favourite animes are Steins;Gate, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Code Geass they are amazing and are basically the genre I like.

I also like history and drawing.

Nice to meet you @Pumpkin
Just like you, I am very excited for Rewrite coming out.
Have fun with us here on kaza.

Ey @Pumpkin
Reading KEY-things but not liking feelsy stories? That’s quite the unusual combination^^

Most of them feel pretty forced to me but in Rewrite it didn’t feel as forced that is one of the reasons I love it

@tunk4l and @Pumpkin Hello! Don’t forget to have fun on the forums!

Hello @Pumpkin and @tunk4l, welcome to Kazamatsuri forums. I hope that you guys have a great time here, the people here are really nice and funny, enough to be worthy of failing a course at the university for reading the forums.

Thank you for the welcomes.

Hi everyone, I’ve been a huge fan of Key since about 2007 when I started watching the then-airing Kanon anime adaptation. It was one of the first animes I’d seen and I remember I just fell in love with the storyline, characters and general aesthetic. I leap-frogged this obsession onto Clannad when that anime came out, started reading the visual novel (which to do this day is probably my favourite novel of all time, and I am a big reader) and then checked out as many translated Key works as I could!
The crazy announcement of an official LB and TA translation is what brought me here, I browsed through social media and I was really surprised that there was actually a western fandom for Key. Back in the day I could never find a forum or anything.
I live in England, work in Waterstones and I’m an aspiring novelist

Thanks Eisen  Yeah Kanon 2006 was brilliantly done, I still think it’s one of the most gorgeous animes ever produced, despite the fact that it’s nearly ten (!!!) years old.
