Nice intro, man. And nice to meet you. Besides Clannad, what other Key productions have you watched/read?

It’s been quite I long time since my last post in this topic. I guess I’ll have to welcome the new users (or not so new at this point ).

@shuttle099 Hello, there! I’m happy to see fresh newcomers with almost all the VNs to read! It’ll be fun to have you around. Remember to post your thoughts about what you read and see, don’t be shy!

@POTATO You know, even if unintentionally, you just got yourself an awesome username. You’ll have to live up to it. Since you’ve read all those KEY works, why don’t you post what you think about them. Why did you love Little Busters so much? Of course, if you loved it I’ll be looking forward to seeing you when the Little Busters! bookclub happens.

@Hardscope I’ve recently seen you posting in the forums. It’s nice to see lurkers become actual posters. I’m sure you’re enjoying the community way more than when you were lurking around. Also, please keep reading Tomoyo After. I assure you it’s worthy of being compared to CLANNAD After Story. You just got through that initial part, and while the first arc is not the best, the following 2 are quite good and the After Arc is just great. Catch up to us and rejoin the bookclub!

@Mage I’ve seen you haven’t posted all that much. Go ahead and share your thought with all of us, or just talk about something random in one of the offtopic threads. As you may see, we are all very friendly and we’d love to hear out what everyone has to say.

@Jaskills It’s interesting to see the way you discovered our existence. I guess you just have experienced Rewrite from all KEY works. I encourage you to read some of their other works (or even watch the animes, though not Little Busters!). I’m sure you’ll end up liking them. It’s sad to see someone post on the first day and then not knowing anything from him.

@cylindricalcynic Welcome! I see you have a background similar to mine, KEY wise. I encourage you to read the spin offs and others, specially Tomoyo After now that we are finishing the bookclub. Also I find it funny that you posted on the 7th of July, 2015 and are introducing yourself now .

@XBakaTacoX wow, I kept grinning during your whole post. I knew those Kazamatsuri business cards had to give their fruits sooner or later. Happy to have someone so cheerful with us. I’d actually love to see you all over the forums, I think you could turn boring, intelligent discussions into something one can look forward to if he wants to laugh for a while. Hell, even you introduction post cheered up my day! I’m also happy to see that you are looking forward to requests for your Youtube channel, I’ll definitely check it out and probably drop a request or two for you.

@Bazett I hadn’t even used a forum before I joined here lol. Welcome to the community and feel free to speak your mind about anything you wish! I saw you spoke a bit about the Rewrite anime, but not having read it nor watched the anime, I’m sorry but I won’t be able to read them for now.

@waravim Yay, we got a Japanese to join an English speaking community about a Japanese media. This is truly something to be proud of. I’ll be looking forward to reading your opinions in the several topics we have. But once you join discord, be prepared, people might ask for Japanese translations. Do never translate anything for anyone, translators tend to be the target of complaints about their own translations. Being a translator is a hard life, don’t even let them turn you into one. It’s a dangerous role… :scream:

Anyway, don’t worry too much about your English skills, your post was fine and keep in mind that many of us aren’t even native English speakers (myself included), but that’s also great, since we get to see many different cultures and the way people think in many countries.

@hvvv Well, that introduction was quite impactful. Since Ushio is your favorite character both @cjlim2007 and I will be happy to accept your superior taste. I also insist in what @DangoDaikazoku said. What have you watched or read from KEY? Finally, as with everyone else, I encourage you to join us during our bookclubs and leave your thoughts about whatever you think from the KEY works you’ve experienced!

Woah woah woah. Wait up a sec. You’ve experienced Tomoyo After through a Manga? Go give your thoughts about the After Arc in its topic, I’m really interested in seeing how someone who has only read the manga think about it.

Also, keep in mind that Little Busters! improves a whole lot in VN version, so be sure to grab it and join our bookclub once it comes out on Steam!

Cool! Have any plans to see the Planetarian anime?

Well, welcome @hvvv, I’ll also be looking forward to any and all posts regarding Key. (And I guess those off topic threads as well, they’re there after all)
Anyway, hope we’ll get along nice.

Hello~
I am Khsellhu and I’m from Krasnoyarsk (which is located in Siberia, Russia :D).
Out of all Key’s VNs I’ve read only Clannad and Rewrite (+ harvest festa) and trying to read LB! Ex at moment.
I’ve watched every single anime out there on Key’s vns, but thats not something to be proud about, probably.
By far, Rewrite (VN) is the best thing I’ve read in Japanese ever (out of all manga, vns, and ranobe that I ever got my eyes and hands on for the past 10 years).
I really like Tanaka Romeo’s writing style and became a fan of Tonokawa Yuuto as well (thanks to Chihaya’s route).
I’m not really good at writing in English, but I can read it freely. So, sorry in advance for any grammar hick-ups.

I kind of stumbled upon this website not that long ago… And finally decided to register and try to write on forum as well.
There seems to be some sort of Russian community around Key’s works, but as far as I know they based on a social-network site… And I don’t really like that.

Lately, I’ve started a fan-translation of Rewrite Harvest festa! and currently at about 1/3 of Kotori’s route. I’m translating it into Russian and hope to finish the whole VN before next summer. «Biiiiiig dreeeaaaam» © Kotori
Well, I’ve a lot of experience in translating thing, but its rather hard to express the way how Kotori, Yoshino, and (sometimes) Kotarou speaks. Well, I’ll do my best

…and I don’t really know what to say anymore.
Hope to not be too obnoxious or whatever
Well, let’s get along~

Welcome @Khsellhu! We don’t have many members from Russia, so I’m super excited to meet you! My only experience with the Russian Key community has been through stuff like HD patches for Key games I’ve seen floating around, ahaha.

Hope you enjoy the community here! I hope to see lots more of you  And good luck on your translation project!

Welcome @Khsellhu! Nice to see so many nationalities here. Hope you’ll have fun speaking about Key with us.

Welcome! Wow, you’re so brave to take on a translation effort by yourself. If you don’t mind me asking, which was your first Key work?

Thanks for a wam welcome =)

@DangoDaikazoku
I’ve translated a couple of VN’s before and have a vast past experience in fansub… I’m not all that good in English, but somewhat decent in translating stuff from Japanese into Russian  besides, I’ve all of this burning passion for Rewrite, and I just need to express it one way or another. I can’t write fanfiction, I’m awful at painting, so… The least I can do is to try to make a good translation for a great work.

If I remember correctly, it was Air’s anime back in 2006. I liked it, but not to the point of becoming a huge fan. Then there was Kanon’s anime and I thought that, hey, Key actually looks great… Then Clannad. I liked it. I went to read it. I liked it even more. And it escalated from that point  I’ve started reading LB now (oh, I’ve said it already before) and I actually liked it’s anime as well…
What actually made me into a fan was Rewrite. It was a love from the 1st sight
I guess, I’m still a newbie in terms of knowing Key’s works, but I’ll probably finally read them all now.

Awesome, man! And you’re hardly a newbie. I haven’t even watched the Air anime, yet…

Hello, everyone. I’m from India and if you haven’t already guessed, my favorite series is Clannad and I love everything Clannad. I joined Kazamatsuri because I wished to share my experience watching this wonderful series with people who would appreciate this amazing masterpiece, without being trolled by vicious haters.

It’s nice to meet you, @Okazaki. I also love CLANNAD myself as well and it was my first anime from KEY I ever watched. It’s amazing you’re from India as our community is very diverse with so many other members from around the world. I think you’ll enjoy being here with talking about Key discussions and we would love to hear you share your thoughts and opinions with us.

Don’t worry, we’re a very friendly community so your thoughts matter to us. So, welcome onboard and we would love to have you as good friends.

By the way, what other interests outside of Key do you have? How did your find Kazamatsuri? Also, what Key anime or VN have you read or watched?

Hi there @Okazaki. Nice to meet you, and as Sonic said, we’re quite friendly around here. And also still able to say when we don’t like something, without the topic in question turning overly toxic for lack of a better word. So have fun around here, I’m also looking forward to reading posts by you.

I’m new to anime. Clannad was not only my first Key anime but it was also one of my first ever anime. (discounting Doraemon and Shin-chan but that was long ago). I intend to read the Clannad VN in the near future. As to your question on how I discovered Kazamatsuri- well, after completing Clannad AS, I was feeling depressed and kind of empty. The happy ending did not quite ‘register’. So, I turned to fanfiction ( it did help a lot). That’s when I came across this site and though I did not join immediately, I read all clannad related forums and found it to be a much friendlier and civil site than some other anime sites. So yeah, that’s how I ended up here and I look forward to making some great friends here. Also, thanks a lot for the welcome @Sonic112003.

Yaaay! I’m curious, which part of India are you from?

You’ve definitely come to the right place. If you’re interested, we’ve done a bookclub/podcast series discussing about the CLANNAD VN, along with the character routes/arcs and such.

On Hungama TV I’m going to assume. :stuck_out_tongue:
