Now, now. We know that the girl is not Charlotte, so Iām guessing maybe Charlotte is the name of the in-series band. Just maybe.
The setting looks much more normal than I thought. But again, itās Keyā¦ ahem, Jun Maeda.

Doubt it, Yu and Nao-Nao are the focus characters, but the way it was said makes it sound like the band isnāt them.

Anyways, they somehow got themselves an early copy of Dengeki Gās haha.
First off, looks like she isnāt Charlotte. As expected, she is Japanese and has a Japanese name. Which leaves the question āWhat is Charlotte?ā
It could have just a minor point in the story (like many other Key titles), or it could be something more. Iām kind of leaning to that minor planet theory, but thatās just me.
And, as expected, her personality is stoic. Awww xP I wouldāve wished for somebody a bit more dynamic. The guyās personality is interesting, though. We still donāt know whose POV will be used for the anime (it might even be a 3rd person POV) but whosoever it uses would be pretty good, I think.

Honestly, besides the names and the band, it really feels like we donāt know anything still. I mean, it didnāt say anything about stars or meteors/comets or video cameras or coming home or even salviaā¦

Maybe it sounds bland because we donāt know anything at all about it aside from some names, some very short background info, and the existence of a band.
Iām not excited for it yet, but for now thereās absolutely no sign that it is going to be bland.
Iām hoping for something like in Rewrite, the end of the common route twist was soooo good. Iām hoping weāll get not that much information because shit will get real later.

Yeah Iām with Bonecuss. Theyāre trying to build up a sense of mystery in an, at first mundane setting.
The thing I want to know most is the VA/Singer for this band. Thatās actually a pretty interesting tidbit, if true, about the VA being the singer.
Yeah, it is Maeda, but itās still Key and anime in general. Itās going to contain a mold to benefit the viewer masses, more or less. Not to mention itās an easy way to build a setting without racking your brain for something new. Again again, itās Key, and Maeda- So this comfortable setting is most likely a ruse for whatāll be a rather wild ride.
If you want Maeda that isnāt Key, youāve basically got kinda AB!, and Hibiki.

We already know that Charlotte isnāt the name of the main heroine. And weāve seen the electricity motif. Iām beginning to like the āCharlotte is a computer programā theory more and more. Our characters are trapped in a digital world. Our protagonist may be the programmer, or at least someone with the ability to manipulate the world to his ends (using it to get unusually high grades in school, among other things). The girl is a part of the program, not a real human.
Something like that would be pretty interestingā¦ Unless thereās any evidence which disproves my theory?
