I’ll save my opinions for when I can actually fully understand the episode…
But for now, I’m kinda disappointed at just how easy it was to save Ayumi. As grim as it may seem, I might have even preferred it if Ayumi died again, but this time, at the hands of yandere, thus forcing Yuu to go through another time leap, just to make him more aware of the gravity of the situation.

I’ll say it right now before @Kanon does: MAEDA IS A FUCKING HACK

the first half was just confirming everything a bunch of people already predicted. After that…yeah saving Ayumi was a lot easier than I expected. I don’t know why I didn’t think of Yuu just plundering her ability away; simple and obvious but it was just way too anticlimactic. So, we still don’t know the real problem that needs to be solved? Still guessing it has to do with that comet from way back that Ayumi foreshadowed.

Side note is that Hoshinoumi summer uniform further confirmed to be amazing as Nao wearing Ayumi’s school uniform was super bland and not cute (although middle schoolers can still identify Nao as being a super cutie).

Ok, I’ve just finished watching the episode. (spoiler?) Almost everything was as we all predicted.

So… what would be the real Maeda© twist?

Note FYI: this is being simulcasted in Crunchyroll for Argentina (and maybe in many other South American countries), with both English and Spanish subtitles.

After the last episode we already knew that it will be going that way, the wrong way in my opinion. At least this episode had Yusa and Joujirou again, which made it at least a bit amusing. Not really a good episode overall, but I’ll take it.

I liked this episode but as @Pepe and @Kaze said I wish he failed at saving Ayumi at least once. It also felt like there was a lot in this episode that I kind of wish get more expanded on (maybe an episode and a half instead of just one). It also would have been neat to see Ayumi die in a bunch of ways before Yuu finally saves her.

Well, that episode was pretty much exactly as expected. Biggest surprise would be that saving Ayumi was that easy. But that’s mostly because when watching an Anime (or any kind of fictional story, actually) you expect something that is less simple and more climatic. What the episode delivered instead was the simple fact that in this kind of situation, in which all kinds of bizarre bad luck was the cause of the tragedy, information from the future is all that is necessary to lead the story down a completely different path.

The next episode is either going to be an even more anti-climatic way towards a slow happy end, or we will see the beginning of some final story-twisting. I’m definitely hoping for the latter.

Yandere-chan looks better with the bangs cut.

Also way to re-break Nao’s onii-chan after you just got finished fixing him, Yu.

Well… That was certainly resolved quickly.

Remember all the drama and resolution surrounding Ayumi’s death? Feels kinda pointless now. And when we save her that easily and it all happened so fast, it’s just like, it didn’t feel like any kind of grand accomplishment. It felt like a monster of the week

The episode was fun as a standalone thing but, what? It kinda spits in the face of the rest of the series up to this point…

Also lol at them reusing footage for the past events.

I promise I’ll have something more positive to say in my next post…

Oh look on the bright side, next episode we finally get to find out what Charlotte is.

If they don’t decide to change the title to some other random female name.

Oh yeah, what the fuck, looting now? What?

Agreed

This was kinda underwhelming, too easy and all. I can’t really see what else could be happening for the finale, maybe Yuu makes one giant leap back somewhere that makes him blind instantly to erase the powers completely and everyone except him lived happily ever after?

That didn’t last long, huh.

Also shitty translation and inconsistencies are hardly shocking, although it’s pretty disappointing. Following the official titles/subs is suffering.

way to be more positive, Aspi.

Other than that I agree with you on the point of this episode really just being a kick in the nutz of the other episodes.
I like how they are just like ok, Ayumi is saved, fuck Nao’s brother. Well, maybe next week.

Nah dw he’s fine now

That for sure is going to be the next thing… Yuu has been focused on ayumi he has forgotten about Nao’s brother. He probably thinks he can just do it later but… but… can he? Or maybe he hasn’t even realized it? They can for sure do something with that. It might be a pick and choose type thing. I highly doubt he is able to save both without massive effort (oh and there is that blind thing going around so he isn’t super over powered!).

If you think back on how he met Sala and what the reason was that they got into a talk and how it came to all this, it might just never happen with the way things are now.

I like this episode because it feels waaaaay too easy. No way they’re leaving it at this.

So… In this timeline, Kazuki is still emotionally broken and in his crazy “composing” state and if Yuu doesn’t meet Sala and speak to her due to him having lost Ayumi and recovered thanks to Nao, then Kazuki is still screwed and won’t remember Nao and will stay that way without Sala coming along and singing Fallin’ to heal him in what ever way he was healed.

That is if Yuu completely disregarded Kazuki and forgot about him in today’s episode… Which it looks to be that way to me, because it felt like it was “Save Ayumi” and everything else is secondary. I feel like the lack of planning on Shunsuke’s end, and Yuu’s determination is leading to their downfall after this.

And the plot thickens… Maybe?
