Sorry and they’re all preorder for the sellers items. I found a company that can ship the bundle to me from the websites so I don’t need eBay for first edition bundles! I’ve been doing everything on my phone so its a little harder to get around.
I’m just wondering, since there would be 6 volumes in the visual novels, and the 1st volume (1st Beat!) would contain Episodes 1 to 10 of the anime, what would the other 5 volumes be all about?
I don’t think there’s a for sure but it would probably include stuff that, could happen before the anime ended (but after episode 10) without changing anything.
They’ll definitely contain all the other routes. There’s soooo much more that could happen in the angel beats world other than what happened in the anime.
We mark this day in history where all Angel Beats! characters have topics and most people here more than likely have all their names memorized finally- But my mission is only beginning. More changes soon to come!
Ok, after thinking about it, I think I understand what you mean about Otonashi’s existance in the world.
1) Otonashi doesnt even help most of the SSS members in the anime, only Kanade and Naoi for sure, probably Hinata and maybe Yuri.
2) The “love should not exist” part is not a rule of the world. It is a rule set by an regular person who had come to that world a long time ago. Also, the love that Otonashi fulfilled was not the love that activated the shadow program. The former is a love that (as you said) would cause people to be able to move on, while the latter is one that would cause people to want to stay in the afterlife.
Indeed, but the idea is his presence there catalysed an otherwise stagnant world. In a similar fashion it not being ‘a rule of the world’ is unimportant, it really doesn’t matter whether he was intended to be their and help people or not. Merely that he was, and did. That’s something I’m certain the narrative supports, even if it is quite a mess at the arc we’re talking about. And I would also argue that he did both during his time there.
Whether that counts as Key magic or not would be an argument of semantics. So if you’re not sold on it that’s fine, but I am pretty certain you should at least have an understanding of how it can be considered it.
It doesn’t really matter to me whether AB! involves “Key magic” because I will enjoy it the same amount either way.
I’m just waiting for the VN to make everything clear (I’ll probably be waiting a long while, won’t I?)
Anyway, Angel Beats! is one of my favorite Key works. I wish it had been a longer anime.
I should probably read the manga, but I am not a fan of manga at all, and I find it a chore to read.
Iya iya iya. You misunderstand. The Heaven’s Door is a critical part of Angel Beats! If you like the series as much as you say you do, reading the manga is a must. (Plus a lot of us think its better than the anime so… XP )
I know I could probably get through it since I do love Angel Beats!, but it’s very difficult for me to describe how much I really dislike manga. I need the voices, and the color, and the music.
I’ve tried reading manga dozens of times but I rarely make it past 10 chapters.
The farthest I ever got was Tokyo Ghoul, about 30 chapters.
Well, Hinata’s the main character, right? I love Hinata, so maybe that will fix everything.
As much as I like Heaven’s Door it doesn’t really do anything that would get someone who really doesn’t like manga to get into it. You might have an easier time because you know a bit about the characters and setting already but if you’ve ever seen an anime then tried reading the manga before it will probably end up the same.
