Ah yeah well, Chihaya’s route was the route which screamed “SHOUNEN” the most, so I’m not sure if things like this get changed.
I think it should keep the light shounen mood but it should be more logical
Well yeah, I agree with you.
Um, this is Key though. Key isn’t logical. Charlotte was pretty much the only logical story they’ve done (as to how they get the abilities), and the logic in it made a lot of fans hate the series. Anyways, I hope 8-Bit at least tries to do good animation. Even with the poster, the animation doesn’t seem as good for the heroine’s coloring. I’m in for a moon movie
Rewrite’s true routes are logical.
also regarding the animation department you don’t have to worry that much, 8-Bit are above average when it comes to animation.
here is a sample, Ryoma Ebata worked with other studios before but he is a main animator in studio 8-Bit, I can’t wait to see his animation in Rewrite
There is also Masayuki Nonaka, she is the character designer for the Rewrite anime and she worked with Tensho on Grisaia and Kiniro Mosaic, she is also one of my favorite animators
It isn’t as smoothly as I hoped for, but at least they have great backgrounds
Ryoma Ebata’s walking animation are amazing
I WANT TO SEE MA BOY KOTAORU WALKING LIKE THAT
I wouldn’t call a laughable plot hole filled mess logical.
I only watched Angel beats, Charlotte and the first season of Clannad, and I’ve read LB and Rewrite so I don’t know much but I think that Rewrite is pretty logical(except for certain parts of Chihaya and Shizuru’s routes).
Hate to say it, but 8-bit’s animation just isn’t “above average” these days, at least imo. I wouldnt necessarily call it terrible, especially the clips shown in that video, but its very… sharp. As opposed to smooth. Its nice style in some cases though: I still think Absolute Duo’s OP was the best part of that show (although showing off OPs probably isnt the best way to showcase animation, since they almost always look better than the shows themselves).
I think Rewrite has the potential to fit that style, but the sharp, stutteriness of it still bothers me.
I can’t disagree with you.
but remember that Ebata and Masayuki won’t work on every scene, so its all up to Tensho to choose which animator fits better for each scene, and of course the producer of the show (who is most likely someone from Aniplex) might hire some other great animators to work on this show
since we are in topic of animations (Terra spoilers) if we get Terra anime, Ebata should do the last scene where Kotarou does “his final duty”
I’m certainly not late for the Rewrite anime announcement party, but I am indeed late to the party that is this forum. Just made an account today and am looking forward to discussing Rewrite in the months to come!
Now… can we get an animate PV already?? Or at least some promotional artwork??? :sunohii:
I want to see that too but as far as I know this is the only other PV for a summer anime, looking through MAL’s Spring 2016 page there’s quite a few shows there yet to get a PV, never mind footage so I think we’ll be waiting a while yet.
We might get a PV in the event “Anime Japan 2016” that will be held in March 25.
Aniplex will participate there and will show promos for their upcoming shows
Bless your soul for saying this… I can rest easier now
Keyword here is might get a PV No assurances yet
True true. But I can rest easier because I have an idea on when we could potentially get one, rather than being in the dark and knowing nothing at all.
ayy thats my birthday. It would be nice if they came out with a good pv on that day
AnimeJapan is a very big event for anime (it has more importance for anime than Comiket).
if they don’t release a Rewrite animated PV there it would be a huge death flag for the production of the anime.
Funny enough, the possibility that the animation will make use of Gainaxing as fanservice worries me more than anything about this upcoming anime, not even the thought that the story might get butchered. (priorities)
Well I do hope that the adaptation goes well. I’m not going to expect something as almost unrealistic as a perfect adaptation, but I’ll still try to enjoy it, however direction the anime series will go. I don’t know much about Tenshou other than some word of mouth about Grisaia though, but my younger sibling (who doesn’t read VNs) liked the anime.
As for the animation, as long as it doesn’t look derp like Naruto Shippuden’s (obvious example) or Arslan Senki’s (can’t find a good shot of Farangis at all), it should be okay at the very least.
