Rewrite Animated PV Published!

It isn’t the best but that is okay. I am always happy to see new products for things that I like. An anime is quite a big deal but it is just another product. Sure I wish it had a 100 million dollar budget, and 52 episodes long but that isn’t real. Just seeing the characters move around is absolutely amazing, because I am a rewrite fan. People just dream too big when it comes to anime. Just be happy for what you have. They don’t make these for fun they are trying to make money. At the end of the day you just can’t please everyone.

Yeah you really shouldn’t get all that hyped if your standards are set to high, However, if your standards are not high, you will probably enjoy it as a rewrite fan. If it is Grisaia quality I will be happy cause that is my standards for these guys.

Well, it seems promising.
Well, the animation seems really good, I wish they’ll animate Kōtarou X Yoshino fight hahahaha.
I expected more tbh, but I think I should’ve expected less.

Also, like. Original content is good in something like this, since the game’s structure kind of precludes a standard adaptation lol.

For me, as long as they end with Moon/Terra, everything’s fine.

I’m so glad there is a decent amount of movement in the animation. There is anticipation before actions (some are subtle) so the people do know what they are doing. I would’ve loved for the action scenes to use singles but that’s expecting too much. xD

The very fine line work really intrigues me though. I don’t think I’ve seen any other anime with such line works or I just never realised them. It felt strange at first but after looking at them for a while, they don’t look all that bad. It’ll definitely help a lot with the wide angle shots and more subtle movements as well. It is also very interesting how soft shadows have been utilised which is really unique. I see a lot of experimentation with artistic techniques which has potential in setting itself from other anime.

Base on what I’ve seen from the PV… it gives more liberty for the animators to animate the movements of the series. I can see why people would complain about the designs being rather flat but at the same time it actually looks quite clean and nice looking. Using the lighting and dark at the right time which is nice in a way. I’ll say that.

Now for episode count. Please.

April 1 (and 2) is a very special day for important Key announcements :yahaha:

That sure sounds like an excuse to give her more fanservice-y outfits :kurumu:
(I really really hope it isn’t, though)

The PV was actually was really good. I am concerned how this will work out but like @SuikaShoujo mentioned about being cautiously optimistic, I would have to agree as well but I usually lower my expectations on some anime I usually watch. When I read that they are deviating from the VN, I wasn’t sure how to react to that but I think the studio can only do what they have in mind, although that might disappoint a lot of fans for those who read the VN and those who are still playing the rest as well. I won’t give up hope on how it will turn out.

Kotarou realized at that moment…

He was done for.

Ah, now may be the time to update the wikia page. -_-

Please tell me I’m not the only one who dislikes the choppy animation.

I think we can all agree that Choppy Animation doesn’t work well with Key series… Especially one of the ONLY key series to have scenes where smooth animation is beneficial to it. Such as Moon for example.

Air TV > Rewrite
11 year difference.

Rewrite is completely different from other KEY games, so it looking different is also fine, I think.

I finally finished Rewrite less than 24 hours ago, so everything is still fresh in my mind.

And I have to say, this looks amazing. Im so freaking excited. The best part I that Im wanting it to be different, so no matter what they do, Im still gonna be excited.

And the animation was great. I know, this is a PV, so theyd probably want to show off their better stuff, but it still looks great. Good job so far 8-bit team, looking forward to whats to come!

Im sure some people will be unhappy with the art style, but personally I think it fits Rewrite really well.

I was kinda hoping that this PV might confirm some predictions I had about how they would handle this, but unfortunately that didnt happen, so I’ll just have to wait for now.

Are you planning on doing a paragraph or so on Terra ! I’d love to read it if you would be able to, since I’ve read your other commentary on other routes.

The art style is great honestly, but I just hope they add some shading in the hair and shine, in the actual thing to make it more appealing.

I’m a bit late bit man, there are so many announcements for key recently. Even if the anime does not live up to our expectations as fans, i’m still happy for an adaptation. Maybe our fanbase will increase and more people will join the community with the publicity the anime will make to our other otaku friends.

Now i’m hoping that the Creamy⭐️Kagarin serialization will get its greenlight some time soon.

What a booby time to be alive!

VA uploaded the PV on their official YouTube (which shouldn’t be region-locked), so if you wanna watch the PV again, make sure you put those views where they should be, and not to unofficial mirrors :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Reviving a super old thread, just to say this.
Those PV feels like a grand scam, the animation quality was…

I dunno, looking at the PV again, and I honestly feel like the quality is the same as that of the actual anime. That is including the good parts, like the smooth movement of the characters, and the bad parts, like poor quality faces in the background.

Sorry, in the PV, I can’t see almost any defects, almost like a scam, well the anime is entertaining enough even with those derp faces anyways.

Find a dictionary then look up the word ‘promotional.’

The definition for promotional means “of or relating to the publicizing of a product, organization, or venture so as to increase sales or public awareness”. In the case of Rewrite, it was to have fans who might be interested in the anime as well as those who experienced playing the VN to enjoy and watch the series. The studio would then decide to take an interest in producing the series and collaborate with the game developers and others to making the story as close to the VN usually with a new direction.
