Well I mean Dark Pit got into sm4sh so we could get Dark Kanade in the new Angel Beats ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
That said, I don’t think it’s her either. The similarities are just too vague to reasonably say it’s Kanade.

Like if they expanded on the Harmonics skill and made a separate character that is more sexualized, sounds a bit similar to a story in Little Busters! Mio and Midori
The new project is a joint project between Key and Aniplex. Last night I was so excited that I missed to see Aniplex was there too. Yeah, so probably either total new anime series or it’s Angel Beats relative anime like Heaven’s Door anime adaption.
The hype intensifies every time I watch that video… the hype train is going so fast.
SILHOUETTE-CHAN BEST GIRL.
I like her hair.
I don’t think it looks like Kanade much at all. Hair style is totally different, height is different, skirt length is different, shoe choice is different.
If we have to compare it to characters already established, it’s a Yui Yusa crossover.
I’m honestly surprised Aniplex is still being involved in the Angel Beats! stuff after the anime. Guess it wasn’t that big of a shame for Maeda; just an inconvenience.
Aniplex isn’t just about anime though, so you are eliminating a bunch of possibilities. It could be a soundtrack. Aniplex could just be organizing the event mentioned, since they are known to help out with anime-related events.
Imagining Dark Kanade is really scary tbh ._.
I think every single one of us will be hyper yoshino until we get more informations lulz
I actually wouldn’t be mad, that could be really cool.
It’s a nagging feeling because I logically don’t think that it is actually her, but something at the back of my mind keeps thinking that it is
What, people think Silhouette-chan is Kanade?
Like really?
It’s obviously not, unless there is a massive redesign.
If it is an AB character, it’s one of the new characters that have already been announced, not a complete overhaul of an already established (and loved) character.
But what project could be huge enough to announce like that way with Aniplex? And we actually see the mysterious new design girl to be revealed. So there’s very few possibilities available actually.
Yeah redesign makes zero sense to me. Esp. with everything considered (ABOW, Art Books, what was in the video) seems kinda weird for them to alter a character design.
What is still the oddest thing to me is why they’d use the AB! site for an announcement of something that isn’t AB! at an event for AB! stuff, primarily. However, it is a Key anniversary type event so… Idk. Kanon HD remake www, but guess it’s an addition to the press conference, so fair enough.
But again, it was a site Aniplex and Key owned so they can save money that way too and not need to get a new site I guess. WHO KNOWS.
http://aniplex-key1222event.com/ So they announced they’ll be having an announcement panel in some stores starting tomorrow. I guess I better go to at least one of these stores
Oh hey… I just realized something so blatantly obvious that all of us seem to have overlooked
The headline says:
新プロジェクト&Angel Beats!新情報
Which literally translates to: “New Project & Angel Beats New Information”
Furthermore, even in the video teaser, the “New Project” with silhouette-chan is separated by a そして (furthermore)
What I’m trying to say is… I’m starting to heavily believe that this “New Project” has absolutely nothing to do with Angel Beats
That’s what some people on reddit and 4chan were describing it as.
Yay I’m not alone lol
So I’ve heard some people saying that the new project might be a rewrite anime maybe? Honestly I don’t really think that’s the case since silhouette-chan doesn’t look like any character from rewrite (to me at least) but what do you guys think?
Dobutful. I’m beginning to think it might actually be a new IP…
So now Key starts a new series with an anime first and then moves on to do an actual visual novel? So that if it gets popular as an anime then the vn is sure to sell as well like they are doing with Angel Beats. How interesting…
