I’d play her mid. Maybe top against very kite-able champs.
You push out the wave with autos, Q, skystrike. Anything really. Use W to check your lane while you are pushing - In mid you can see all possible lane entrances, so you’ll know if anyone is coming for you.
Once the wave is pushed up, you ult either top bot, do your stuff, go back mid, push again, then farm jungle or roam again.
From your ulti roam, when you reach a target, you want to E, auto a bunch, and Q for the extra damage to finish it off. If you have enough cdr, you can use the Q after the first auto too. Her actual ult damage is pretty pathetic until you get Shiv, so don’t worry too much about hitting multiple targets.
Rito said they wanted to take her away from the assassin role, but they really haven’t changed that. Her damage is too bad to stay in a duo lane, and she’s too reliant on her passive. Her roaming is insane though, so taking on a Zed approach of early roams then splitting is what you want to do.
They did make her assassinations worse though… So basically she has less damage for higher map pressure. Still the same old Quinn at heart though, and I do really like Quinn. It’ll be a shame to not have that crazy Valor damage, but the speed boost is good.
I don’t think the changes are enough to make a positive impact… But who knows? With that amount of roam potential you can turn a bad matchup into a good one, just by winning your team’s lanes. With the TP nerfs, it might be enough. She’s no TF though.
12/0/18 masteries. You want Runic Armor vs AP and Veteran’s scars vs AD.
AS/HP/MR/AD runes.
You start with the corrupting pot thing. Go into lane and push the wave right up to the enemy tower as fast as you can. Once you get the level advantage, use E and W to poke your opponent away from the wave, while the tower clears out all your minions. The wave will start to push back to your tower, where you can freeze it, and kill the enemy whenever they try to get near the minions.
Get a Tear, some boots, an IBG, then you usually want a Spirit Visage or a Warmogs. Finish your tear when you need to, and stack health. A Deadman’s plate will replace the SV/Warmogs if you are against heavy AD.
Yeah, me actually…
to be honest I think the new poppy works better with a lot of champions,
but one thing I’m upset about is that poppy’s current ult is unique lol
To be completely honest with you, other than the model, I am really disappointed with the new poppy.
She used to be so good because of her ultimate, Q and god passive. Now they removed everything that made her so good. Maybe her new abilities work well together and I’m excited to try her out, especially the new effect of her W seems interesting. However, from what I have seen so far, they just made her basically useless.
She’s pretty meh right now I think. She can do a lot of damage if you position stupidly, and she has a lot of resources, but normally she won’t do much. She’s rarely tanky enough to use her E>W as an engage. Her ult is easily dodged. Her Q is easily dodged. I’ve won a lot of games with her, but it all ended with me falling back on split pushing. I haven’t found a nice build on her either. Deadman’s is pretty good, but that’s good on almost all fighters and tanks. Titanic Hydra is nice. Cleaver is okay. IBG is subpar.
I don’t think she’s a good primary tank. I don’t think she’s a good fighter either. She’s more… Very specific utility.
Oh, and it’s not mentioned in-game at all, but W only works on each champion once during it’s duration, so Riven can still Q and stuff.
Guys! I’ve figured it out! I know how the new Poppy works!
So… Remember old Poppy? Well, you do that. But better. Now you have a ranged auto that chunks people for half their hp, and your good old Q is aoe. Plus they can’t get away or get backup because of your W. And your E scales with ad now, so that’s stronger too. Ult is still pretty meh, but you can get some good snipes with it if you get used to it’s hitbox and travel speed.
In jungle… I’d get the Red smite, and wouldn’t get an enchant for it until after Trinity and RFC. Then I’d get Warrior.
With old Poppy I’d get devourer, but I’m not sure if that’d still work anymore. Warrior is much safer.
Things are getting really weird and mysterious… Zed? Blind. Sona? Silence. Vi? Knockup… Garen? No idea.
This Jhin… I feel he will be something like yasuo, really good and will be played a lot. Ill try to do some more research to see if I can get some info. This is definitely one of the better mysterious things in LoL that happened.
illaoi was the last champion for this year iirc
EDIT: Realization Illaoi was the last champion for 2015… Now were in 2016 so yeah possible new champion I suppose
