"Kazamatsuri Forums: The Visual Novel" Ideas

It’s no secret that we all love visual novels, their characters, settings, themes, and stories. However, what if we, the forum members of Kazamatsuri, were in a visual novel?

Where would the setting be? What would the genre be? What themes would it tackle? Who would be the protagonist? Supporting characters? How about some antagonists? What would the routes be like? Who would have a route? What would the soundtrack be like? Would it have some Little Busters!-esque mini-games? What would its title be? What is the overall story?

Just go wild, let your creative juices flow through your brain, and, most importantly, have fun!

I think I had a dream about this once. It would be absolutely ridiculous, but would totally work in a Clannad Side Stories format.

Alright, I’m here to pitch ideas for the casting.

The first thought that I had was that @nathanielevan should be one of the seven school wonders. Specifically, he’s a powerful spirit who uses the power of spice to incinerate anyone who dares to insult Indomie Mi Goreng within school walls to death.

@MagusVerborum is to be the Sunohara - the best friend character that gets horribly bullied by the protagonist. As much as I want to paint Magus as an antagonist, I think this role suits him better.

Naturally, @Mitsuna has to be the imouto character - this is non-negotiable. I have my reason forever recorded here: https://imgur.com/a/yY2tf

As for the protag, naturally @Aspirety is the first to come to mind, but I want to ask if we can pick someone else. No offence intended of course, but he’s such a natural choice for the position that it would be a little boring.

@Jokrono is the only heroine I’ve decided on. He’s the transfer student from our sister school, Rokkenjima. He’s in a perfect position to be a heroine.

I’m going to stop here with my nominations, but I want to list some candidate recommendations for the possible 3-6 remaining heroine positions. (Not gonna @ everyone, because I’d be alerting half the forum):
Myself, Zosonte, Pepe, Echo, Emilevnp, Ganesh, Tidulimar, Takafumi, Naoki, Realta, Draconyan, RyuuTamotsu, and LAPB.
Maybe we should make a poll…

…What’s that? Heroines are supposed to be female? I have no idea what you’re talking about.

So in collusion collaboration with @Echo, I have an alternate idea to pitch - we can decide on what we like best later:

@Jokrono is the protagonist who just transferred from Kazamatsuri’s sister school, Rokkenjima Academy. @MagusVerborum is his cousin who tranfered here a few years ago and is the only person he knows in this school of eccentric weirdos.

A heroine, don’t get full of yourself. We could make you the true route’s heroine though :thinking:.

We’re currently deciding on who will be the Protagonist of this novel. For now the main suggestion are Jokrono and machelmore. EDIT: and Magus

Does someone want to volunteer or have people to recommend for this role, so we’ll have some candidates to decide from?

EDIT2: Nate, Aspirety and Mitsuna already have their role decided, so they’re not eligible

To bring things back on track, we’ve decided that if we need/want a character to be killed off, I will fill that role myself. If I were to be the protagonist, this would be a good opportunity for a bad end, or alternatively, as Nate suggested:

It could be the Kazamatsuri VN equivalent of the muslce/oppai endings, wherein Indomie Mi Goreng unites the world and brings peace on earth.

Also, to get things moving, I want to start a vote on the protagonist this time tomorrow, so if you want to nominate yourself / someone else for protag, make sure to do it before then. Happy hunting. But remember, if you vote for @Jokrono, it means defaulting to plot idea #2 (unless another one comes along before too much longer), and voting for anyone but Jokrono means discarding plot idea #2 by default.

Yes, anyone can be the protagonist. We all have different personalities, so we can all bring something new to the table for the role.

Of course anyone should feel free to have whatever ideas they want and come up with whatever story they want, but I also think it would be nice to have a single concept put together by all of us as well.

And while this is admittedly just an place for ideas, if anyone/everyone else is willing, I would be so down for us to actually make it.
