Can’t recommend that at all.
There’s no guaranteed they’ll even give EXP once the cap rises, and you’re locking yourself out of a shitload of content including, but not limited too, literally all the major sources of the currency used to gear up at endgame.
One thing I’ve been asking myself the last few hours:

How’s dat new content going for all us 50’s.
If you’re past the credits you’ve unlocked all the dungeons and stuff for gear grinding. Story after that is from the 2.X patches and is how you unlock Primals and some dungeons.
Cant really acces much of the new stuff with my item level 52 gear
Yeah you can, plenty of dungeons to get better gear(First Five High level and LotA by my remebering) and more importantly, Soldiery to buy much better gear.
