I’ve looked at their anime and it’s 1-4 months per anime (if you start with Red data girl and exclude the Koitabi show since it’s only 7 minutes per episode). The months in between shows doesn’t seem to matter I’ve been looking, and it seems that it takes 3 months to produce a 13 episode anime and 1 month to produce a 24+ episode anime (don’t ask me, it just says that) for P.A. Works, so it might be 1 course since their last show Shorobako ended in March.
Nooo I wanted to watch fireworks… But I want to watch this ahhhh the agony!
Sohohooooo~ What do you guys all think about the new stuff unveiled?
I, for one, am super hype about it!
Firstly, the Key Visual… Is that a hospital? Or some containment facility? It seems to heavily imply that the two in that visual are planning some sort of escape. The feeling I got is that it either happens before the story, and will show the truth about how those with powers are treated, or happens in the middle of the story, where (most likely) Yuu and Nao will be abducted and will have to plan their escape somehow.
As for the PV, it seems to also heavily imply that the student council doesn’t just monitor and help control the powers of other students. Rather, it seems that they help them escape from danger, as was what happened with the long-haired girl. Quite interesting, and it really does somehow feel like something out of a superhero comic book.

What I’ve pieced together so far…
- Long haired girl is our ‘character of the day’.
- She is almost killed by an out-of-control car.
- Something (most likely a superpower) saves her from harm. (You can see the shock/relief in the red-haired girl’s face)
Dis gun be gud.
But what was that thing on 10 seconds? A motorcycle?
Either a motorcycle or… Joujirou
They said this series will be have a corresponding part with After Story of CLANNAD and Refrain of Little Busters!. So I guess 2-cours or more, for sure.
That would be nice
If that were the case, seems more like 2 seasons, then. Hmmmm interesting!
If anyone has any more details revealed in the stream that we didn’t pick up on, please share!
Unfortunately, my English is so bad for share, but I using GG translate to English from what I hear in stream:
-
Maeda-sama warning, the TV show will be held slower pace in the first 6 episodes, “people do not bored” -he said.
-
It will have a corresponding part of After Story and Refrain.
-
According to Maeda-sama, this series will expand and improve the lot of shortcomings worldview than Angel Beats!
-
It would have run voice and text for preview episode (like Angel Beats!).
-
The last PV will publish on 26/6.
Alright so they’re really going with the “halfway in, something changes” idea. That kind of implies that it’ll only be 12 episodes for now. Of course, it’s too early to make assumptions like that Just gotta wait for their confirmation.
I do hope they do improve over the shortcomings! I guess since it theoretically takes place in our own world, they don’t have an entirely new setting to have to explain to the viewers.
Thanks for the info @minatahatsune
And our Maeda Jun!
The taglines on the posters read, “The boy confronts fate, even if he loses something precious,” and “The monster continues to challenge fate, even if it means forgetting someone precious.”
Source: ANN
Ohhhh god that is soooo interesting.
See, the first thing I noticed about the two posters is how the text seems to contain the same characters and same sentence structure, just with a few characters changed here and there.
Like, for me, it is implying that the “boy” on the first poster will become the “monster” on the second poster. Because the kanji that said “shounen” on the first poster was replaced with “bakemono” on the second one…
Enter theory about how shit hits the fan in episode 6, and Yuu ends up becoming this “monster” that we are discussing. Wow, that would actually be an amazing turn of events
Um… Perhaps the first 6 episodes correspond to a common route, the following, the heroines’ routes. And the “After Story” part can be a second cour.
I don’t think he would say it would correspond to AS or Refrain if it was just things getting more serious, because basically a lot of animes do that. I think he means something very different from the first part, something that changes everything. It makes more sense if it’s a 2nd season or a 2nd cour.
Urrrg how am I to ride two HYPE trains at the same time!?
The animation looks great, sasuga PA Works.
We hear Yuu saying that 「なぜ自分は自分でしかなく、他人ではないのだろう」from the second PV, must be kinda important, ya know.
Would be great if someone could translate the Episode 1 part, because I know it also has to do with ‘someone else’ and "remebering’
The key visual… wow. I’m I was kinda expecting something like this but its still beyond hype. My thoughts, I guess:
-The first thing I noticed was the huge “A floor” on, well, the floor. So my immediate next thought was “Ah ha, thats where the original title “AA” came from.” I originally thought the second “A” might be the cell letter, like, Cell A-A, but upon closer inspection the cells are letters and numbers, like Cell A-3.
Here’s the thing though: Cell A-1 is missing. Going backwards on the left side is A-3, A-2, then it hits the wall/door thing. And, you know, it might be a huge stretch, but A is kinda similar to 1. Hmm…
Either way I still think “AA” has to do with “A floor” in some way.
-Second, the two people in the same key visual: My first thought was that they both have silver-ish hair, but I really think thats probably just the lighting.
Yuu ends up becoming this “monster”
He’s certainly not the guy standing up, because Yuu’s eyes light up a gold-ish color, and the standing up guy’s light up blue. The guy kneeling, however, has the right eyes and even his hair looks almost exactly Yuu’s hair in the other key visual. I had originally thought the kneeling one might be a girl because of the way the shirt falls around the chest, but I think this could also be due to the eerie lighting.
-Another thing is, we originally saw Nao by a similar looking pool of water in that Na-Ga poster. But now they’re all standing in it. I think the important parts of this are 1) Where is that water/What does it have to do with the story?, and 2) Why are they standing in it?
