Soā¦ you say lolicon but donāt mention any actual Key loli.. Of course, I can vouch for the fact that we both like Kanata and may or may not dislike Kud. But itās strange that you didnāt mention ANY. Iām curious on someone who does count and you like, may not be Key, but yeah.

Facepalm. I know the definition of loli.
I just have a very broad view of it (anyone short and childlike should be a loli in my opinion).
Well, I didnāt mention any Key loli because frankly, I donāt like most them that much. I do like Fuuko (sheās petite and childlike enough to be a loli).
If you want to know one of the real loli I like (even if itās not from any of the Key works) then:

Most of them are loud, obnoxious, and/or annoying.
I was really interested in CĀ³ leading up to it, but I think I just stopped keeping up with it after the third or fourth episode. Completely burnt out of anime around that time and just never bothered to pick up all of the shows I dropped.

Hahaha. Iām the same. Got a lot of series waiting to be finished (Tokyo Ghoul, Kanon (2006), Gosick, etcetera).
I donāt know myself. Iām just going with the flow. =P

Mio! I love how complex and puzzling her story is. So magical yet so real. Reminded me a lot of Umineko (and Uminekoās amazing!). I could personally relate to her. I think anyone could. I even played the VN just to read her route.
Not sure whoās my fav guy. Riki stands out for me because of his soft demeanor. And heās more serious and sentimental compared to other KEY heroes (basing from the anime. Iām not sure what to think about him in the VN, which I have yet to finish). Anime Riki is a friggin poet. Whenever he speaks, itās like heās reciting a poem or something.
AIR: Haruko. Anime Haruko. VN Haruko. Haruko. The Mum. Then Yukito. That guy is fucking hilarious.
Little Busters: Mio! Closely followed by anime Saya. Her arc is that rare instance where both the hero and heroine both try to save each other instead of the hero doing all the saving.. Then Riki.
Kanon: I donāt remember what happened in Kanon or who was in Kanon. I do remember not liking it much. Or anyone much.
Clannad: I havenāt watched Clannad since I was like 12. It sent me crying, I remember, but I didnāt see it in terms of characterization. So itās just a bunch of sad stories for me.
Angel Beats: Same with Clannad.

Fukoās irritation is played off well by Tomoya trolling her, and should be all thatās dealt with on her, thus downplaying that.
Ushioā¦ no. Itās just nah wouldnāt claim her as favorite.
Tomo is not, but unsure how to describe her further.
Kud might be loud, but she too could be dealt with the same as Fuko, itās just Riki donāt have the guts for that. (no offense Riki, you have my respect outside of common)
Shizuru is absolutely none of the above.
See, I think we have different classifications here.
Fuko , Shizuru, and Kud, are all pretty far into their teenage years. They wouldnāt be on the list.
Ushio, Tomo, Shimako, Michiru. characters like that.

Shizuru story is really heartbreaking in the end. I cried like little kid in the scene when shizuru write a diary, and listening Kotarouās song (The BGM really fit, If iām not mistaken koiuta playing in this part)
And when the apocalypse end she met kotarou (tree) again.
Fuahnā¦ itās not really bad end. what make me love her the most is her innoncent personality lol.

ah. I was right. Akane definitely is one of my favorite. As far as I remember, sheās the only heroine in KEY universe who plays online games, which is interesting.
that said, my number one heroine in Rewrite turns out to be Kotori with Chihaya comes close to second. Kotori is such a great waifu material~ sheās (very) smart, funny, kind, and her voice is so cute. She always makes me smile and her Engrish ish goooood!!

Despite her being a glutton, I like Chihaya because in her and Shizuruās route, she said that (huge spoiler) she has always wanted to quit Gaia. In Shizuruās route she also stopped Sakuya from fighting Shizuru. I think these mean that she shares the same ideal as Kotarou; she desires her normal life and wants to bring back the Occult Club even though that would mean she has to quit that organization. None of the other heroines do that! They still stick to their side no matter what >.<
as for male characters: Sakuya. Damn it, youāre so cool. I look up to you, man! #nohomo
spoiler: a combat butler who is Kotarouās predecessor, who despite his arrogant look actually a very caring and gentle man. His role in moon route was too great. T-T

I have actually thinking about rewrite why I chose Lucia as one of my fav girls from rewrite, but the more I think of Akane and Chihaya the more I want to say they are my fav charsā¦ isnt that weird? Reconsidering a choice I have made in past and now I am actually almost changing itā¦
The main reasons are what you exactly said about chihayas decision to quit gaia, I have realised it some time after I played her route. And one of the main reasons I like her is that she is kinda different.
Even so, after all this, Sakuya is still my numero uno as a Key char.

Heh, this is an interesting topic.
Overall Favorite: I said this in my introduction post, but my favorite Key character is Komari, from Little Busters. Something about her endless optimism just really gets to me, because even when things get hard for her, she finds it in her to smile both for herself and for others. I also really, really want to eat sweets with her. She seems like a good best friend. Her route also had a huge impact on me when I played it, which helped a lot. The lesson that you need to accept painful things in life if you want to really move on in your life was one I really needed at the time, and still think about today. That goes for Little Busters as a whole, I guess, but it was really driven home for the first time when Komari had to face the death of her brother.
Kanon: Shiori. I guess I just thought she was cute? I donāt know, itās been a while since I read or watched Kanon, so I canāt give too many reasons as to why, but sheās always been my favorite.
Air: This is a tough one, but I guess it would be Misuzu. Clumsy heroines are just too cute. I guess it helps that she was the man heroine and, as a result, the most developed. Minagi is in a VERY close second though.
Clannad: Kotomi? I donāt know, I really liked at least SOMETHING about all of the Clannad characters, but something about the deadpan humor later in Kotomiās route just cracked me up. I liked Nagisa, but I wish Kotomi could have had a bit more attention. it helps that I like childhood friends.
Little Busters: See favorite overall.
Rewrite: Shizuru, for sure, although I liked Kotori as well. I think I just really like weird heroines, because thatās the category that most of my favorites seem to be falling into. But Shizuruās character design in particular is what won me over, even though Kotoriās way of speaking never failed to make me laugh.
Angel Beats: I really liked Iwasawa the best, because even though Iām not the most dedicated at it, Iām still an amateur musician (guitar and vocals), so I found her relatable. Iām really looking forward to First Beat for her route, so she can finally have more attention.
I really like the male characters in several of the games too (Sunohara and Kyousuke especially), but I canāt help but get more attatched to the heroines, I guess.

spoiler to her route: sheās even able to bring the possessed Akane back from despair with a ātalk no jutsuā!
Sakuya is annoying sometimes, but heās so eccentric that I canāt hate him at all. ^-^
