Just a few minutes ago, VisualArt's announced on their official website and Facebook page the launch of a Steam Greenlight for Tomoyo After ~It's a Wonderful Life~! We've already received news before about the plans for officially localizing this VN, but having this Greenlight page up shows that VisualArt's really

As excited as I am for this release, there’s something we need to talk about: the very likely prospect that Key’s future titles won’t be released in HD like CLANNAD was. As a fan, they’ve already guaranteed my purchase no matter what, but as a fan I can’t help but want more. And as an analyst, I feel like a good portion of the market will lose interest in this is releases in standard definition, especially after the success of CLANNAD as a HD remake.

In response, I’ve left a discussion topic on their thread here: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/659729842/365163686065793807/

If you share my views, or have something to say, let me know in the Steam thread there.

Really liking the subs they did for the OP; especially how the text turns rainbow during the chorus where the lyrics mention a prism.

I wish I could get a version that isn’t hardsubbed ;_;

They seem to have made noticeable improvements. I’m glad Waku was able to get it done so quickly. I’m quite excited to see the finalized game in a form I believe will allow its best characteristics to show.

Shared my thoughts in the Steam discussion. I don’t know how likely it is that I will buy this game, since I haven’t read CLANNAD yet. I do know, however, that I will support the push for HD assets for the release of the game, and the Steam release of Rewrite+. :smiley:

I cannot believe that I didn’t see that. It said the release date was Summer 2016 on the page, and I’m just now noticing.

It’s funny how much info they’re releasing (VA&Key), yet there’s still no release or news on the delayed Harmonia… :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Its really kind of surreal to have so much love for the west so quickly after years of being ignored. Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

BTW I think the Greenlight screenshots are really misleading, I’ve noticed a bunch of people wanting to see more “gameplay” since they apparently think Dungeons & Takafumis is the actual game.

Tomoyo After passed Greenlit (not surprised though)

Funny how Harmonia took 1-2 months and Tomoyo After only took a week…
