Thought the release of Angel Beats! -1st beat- was enough news for today? Turns out that was just the beginning! Just two hours ago, aniplex uploaded a new PV for Charlotte! And it's quite a doozy, featuring over two minutes of animated footage and voice clips and samples of the
So Iāve taken some time to try and understand the dialogue bit-by-bit. I definitely cannot make a good enough translation for subs, as there are lines that I totally cannot understand the context of. Basically, the dialogue of the PV goes something like this
Yuu starts questioning himself; he brings up the classic āI think therefore I amā, but he retorts that he thinks that he is another person, and that that other person isnāt himself
He begins to introduce himself as someone at the top of the class and with good looks (narcissistic, much!)
Naoās dialogue starts with her telling Yuu that she knows about his powers, and whenever he uses them
Joujirou comes in and starts to explain Naoās power, then he explains his own power (limits and all), to which Yuu replies that itās a pretty faulty power
Nao then starts to explain how there are different power-holders, and they gain their powers during puberty
Yusa, Misa, and Ayumi have short dialogue introducing themselves
Yuu says his parents arenāt there (what this implies, though, I donāt want to jump to conclusions to yet)
Nao tells Yuu that they can use his powers, so he should cooperate, so she explains the purpose of the student council, and convinces Yuu to join
PV ends with Nao saying āI donāt know what will happen to us tomorrowā
Most of it is stuff that we already know, having followed the info religiously for months But some interesting points come up. Yuu at least confirms that they donāt live with their parents for some reason. It also adds tension from the poster that we saw a few days ago, somehow implying that something awry will happen along the line. One image, however, stands out the most to me:
Whoa, so you need to be logged into facebook to even see the video?
I wasnāt aware this was an issue. I guess we should stop relying on Facebook videos from now on.
