This is some fantastic news. Clannad has always been my favourite Key work.

I’ve been meaning to play this for a while, so having a chance spring up on me couldn’t be better. Gonna prolly get a couple copies. Hype, hype, hype!!
I’m so excited by these two games coming to steam! It really is an exciting time to be a Key fan, a great western community here and some awesome announcements!

Man Sekai is destroying my wallet.
Can’t way to donate a shit load to this if it’s a Kickstarter, and then buy it for promotion.

Sekai Project’s endless Kickstarters, in conjunction with the nonexistent Doki TL being used here is not encouraging.
I wouldn’t be too worried. I think they’re well aware of what’s at stake if they screw Clannad up. Besides, Doki are fully aware of how unfinished their own patch is, and they’ve promised to ‘work with Sekai Project’ to release the game. That implies there’s more work to be done.
After letting the hype in my heart die down a bit, and listening to stories from both sides of the coin, I’ve decided one thing about this:
CLANNAD is very valuable me. I will consider it unforgivable if Sekai Project will not ensure that what they release is a quality product. As such, I will be very critical for its release and translation. If they don’t improve it to be on par with existing quality fan translations, I will be one of, if not the first to complain.
But that does not mean I will not support it. I have hopes for this project of theirs, and I will support it as much as I can once they start the funding on Kickstarter.
That being said, expect me to bitch about the tiniest grammar or context errors that will pop up in the final product!
I guess (hope) it’s okay for me to say this… I’m involved in the current translation effort. We’ve been well aware of the translation errors in the previous release by Baka-Tsuki for a long time now, and I can assure you that the final release will be of a much higher quality than the existing patch.

Like I said, I have hopes for you and sekai project and will support it!
And yeah, this seems like probably the safest place, if ever, to say this, so don’t worry about that

This is fantastic news! I hope it becomes available as a physical copy as I would really love to own a copy.
I’ve been trying to tell some random Twitter people that Baka-Tsuki’s work isn’t representative of Doki’s (and now Sekai’s) translation efforts. Both have shown great work in the past, and both have my trust~
I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t actually know that Baka-Tsuki released the original translation though. They assume it was Doki’s work, and honestly… Doki aren’t great at communicating with people to correct these mistakes. ^^;

I’d keep it here for the time being, since I think Sekai Project will have something soon on their end that addresses the matter.
