The one I found was 8.000, which is the original sales price. There’s currently one on Amazon for 18.000.
Thats actually really expensive. but I really doubt anyone is willing to pay that much for a 2nd hand copy of the art book though. I’m sure they will resell the art books each year and never run out since they printed soo many copies over various conventions.
I’d be curious to know the actual number. In general, it’s not in the Japanese companies’ mindset to reprint much of any goods, never mind limited editions. That’s part of the reason the second-hand market is so strong in Japan. There are many popular items that go for 3-4 times their original price because of demand + popularity.
I guess if someone’s seen a book with serial number higher than 3-4k, that’ll give some idea. (the one on Amazon seems to be number 2780, so so far we can only tell there are a little over 3000 of them).
