Rewrite - Arata Imamiya Character Discussion

Arata Imamiya character discussion. Anything from Terra can be discussed here. His contribution to the heroine routes can also be discussed here. Please mark references to Harvest Festa or other Key works with a spoiler tag -

.

I personally loved Arata as a character in Terra. He’s the type of character who isn’t jealous, when everyone else was jealous of Kotarou.
At the end of the day, he’s someone who will try to befriend you, even if you don’t get off to such a good start. His ego to show talent is high though e.e

Do you think Arata as a character is actually someone who made the story of Rewrite better ?
I like the character of Imamiya. I think that he is like the character of Yoshino in the route of Terra. He is frank, some unpleasant, he can to be exceptionally scary and even if he isn’t a close friend, or even a friend of Kotarou. He stays with Touka, a precious comrade.
He was wounded when he thought Kotarou had betrayed Guardian but even without knowing the whole story, he was ready to follow him in the end when he saw a proof that it was not entirely the case.

He is also a good exemple to show the mentality of Guardian toward Gaia and the familiars because he does not hesitate to try to kill Kotarou in the route of Akane and Kotori despite their common story as well as summoners. But he isn’t a bloodthirsty killer.

In the ED sequence, I believe it is him who is in the illustration with Touka, Yoshino and Inoue. He may have followed Touka and becoming a teacher.
I like to think, after the song of Destruction in Terra, that Akane is cold towards him when she meets him with Touka because he follows the philosophy of Guardian (in contrary of Touka who is much more tolerant) and she stays the Holy woman.
