Rewrite - Anime Pre-Release Discussion & Speculation

I don’t think building up false hope and feeding fans misleading info is a wise idea to build up hype considering how many people were left in the dirt after the travesty that was Charlotte.

I think I’m going to take everything I read pre-airing dates with a pinch of salt.

Well to begin with, Charlotte’s plot itself wasn’t interesting. I myself, wasn’t as hopeful of it. Episode 4 ruined my interest. Forced episode.

I don’t think building up (false) hope is anything bad.
People are already expecting the Rewrite anime to be below expectations because of its format in the VN, the studio, and the director.
People aren’t hopeful of it at all. Giving people hope is something good to do. We won’t know it it’s false or not since we haven’t seen the actual thing. Might as well hope that it’s good while we’re waiting

I’m more interested in this sixth route about “that girl” than I am with the other events itself.

Well, I think the staff are only excited to get an anime, not excited to get a GOOD anime.
I guess they have all the right to be excited, and show how happy they are since their work is getting an anime no matter what quality.

I personally think that the anime will be superior in some parts and inferior is some other parts, no matter who does it, there will always be pros and cons.

its true, we all know that the anime won’t be as good as the VN, but I just hope that it will be something “Good” within Anime, something that will stand out the most in the season that it will air in, also it should keep what we love about the VN and expand on that, thats what I want from Rewrite anime.

tl;dr I want a good anime not a 1:1 adaptation

I’ve known about this for months now; I made the thread on MAL about it. I saw it was linked here awhile ago so I thought everyone knew already…

I don’t think it’s fair to say they’re building up false hope or trying to mislead us. I’m sure they’re doing the best they can and honestly feel these things to be true. I mean, take it all with a grain of salt, but to imply they are somehow lying about it is way too pessimistic. It’s actually pretty common for people to feel great about something as they do it and then look back in retrospect and realize how bad it is. Hindsight is 20/20, as they say. Even if the anime is an utter failure, I definitely wouldn’t think “wow they were lying so much back then to trick us,” but rather something like “that really didn’t go the way they were thinking it would.”

No one said false. Just vague. A lot of that one guy’s post is major extrapolation and speculation. And vagueness is a perfect strategy to make them do just that. The fans create their own hype.

What would be “good” in this case is the potential for beautiful animation. We can see that there are numerous amounts of scenes which make for a chance for the studio to showcase how wonderful the rewrite universe can be. Whether the conflict at hand is a fast paced fight scene or an emotional heart wrenching breakdown (i’m also referring to my break downs as well), the thought of gazing at the scenery and what animation can do, will (hopefully) change both visual novel readers and anime only watchers’ perspective to the story. Being able to immerse myself with not only the story but the added visual effects has the potential for a strong point in the rewrite anime. It gives that extra depth to the conflict at hand emphasizing the series’ strong points to story and the surroundings of our characters.

News concerning the “extra route” (presumably kagari) on the rewrite anime http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/daily-briefs/2016-04-18/rewrite-tv-anime-features-untold-6th-route-about-that-girl/.101190

The “Good” that I meant was both a good script made to engage new fans and excite VN fans, and good visuals to support that good script and give us an over all “great” experience.
I would like Rewrite’s anime to be heavy on the visual symbolism that only VN fans and smart people can understand.

Hi guys, I made a tiny website in which I have a list of info about the upcoming adaptation, as well as a news thing where anybody who logs in can post updates and edit the info. Is there anything I could add right now? (You can register at the top of the page) (Note that the website hosts spoilers!!)

The site is: http://kagari.moe/

Share it around with all the fans if you want, it’d be really nice to have a general list of data/updates on this!

Kagari is pretty moe, after all! Haha but yeah thanks for the site. It’ll be a huuuge help  I’ll see if I can share this around even more~

Just a heads-up:

You will need a Key to verify your account. You can just PM me your accoutn name, and I’ll verify you

(Existing users dont have to do anything)

So… the key needs a key

Exactly ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Oh yeah, when asking for a Key, please tell me what username you would like to use on the site. If you’re sending an email (instead of a PM), please include valid proof of your existance in an anime/VN/etc community.

We’re getting Sasayaka na Hajimari as the ED. I love that song, but I’m not quite sure how I feel about this. The song is very much about Kagari, so I guess it makes sense.

Along with that, there’s a tease for the a new song called End of the World. Lyrics and composition are by Maeda; the performer is Kumaki Anri who did Kimi no Moji from Charlotte. Tada Aoi will also be involved somehow. She did CANOE, so that’s probably a good guess.

“End of the World” huh

I have a feeling that this will be the opening for the Terra anime.

I’m still worried about the episode count

I’m hoping they decide to do a “season break” and play that song there. Or else if they don’t do that, then it’s most likely for the Kagari route, since you know, new route, new song.

Good to know that Jun Maeda is making more music for Rewrite. Canoe was fantastic (along with the other versions of it). He knows how to make very fitting music. I just hope its not one of his j-rock/j-pop songs like GirlDeMo or How-Low-Hello. He’s best when he creates songs like Ichiban No Takaramono, Last Regrets, Kimi No Moji, etc

I’m still hoping for the Branch album to be used.

Well, Aspi said it sounded rocky. Maybe we can get some more detail when the ksl people get online.

I absolutely LOVE Sasayaka na Hajimari, and have no complaints having it as the ED. It’s an amazing song but gets shadowed by the fact that it’s in Harvest Festa which nobody cares about. Here’s hoping the anime gives it the popularity it deserves!

Having heard End of the world in KSL Live World earlier and I don’t know what to say… It sounds very rock-ish. Kind of like a Girls Dead Monster or How-Low-Hello song. So I’m very sorry to disappoint you @Totoro_Futaki

The biggest question is how will this fit in the anime. None of us can imagine such a song fitting in the anime, so our best guess is that Kagari will become and idol in the anime, and it’ll be her debut song~
