What the heck happened to this thread. I don’t know why so many people are/were panicking; this is literally meaningless information as far as I can tell. I said this long ago in this thread: 2 cour anime almost always begin in fall/spring. As soon as Rewrite was announced as summer, it became incredibly likely to be split cour or 1 cour, but I didn’t and still don’t see Key shoving Rewrite into 13 episodes, which leaves split cour as a pretty good bet. So, BD releases indicating 1 cour is like…well no duh, because 2 cour anime don’t air in summer. Yes, exceptions exist, but are you really going to panic over the exception rather than the norm? I wouldn’t even be surprised if they don’t announce the 2nd cour until the end of the final episode, but if they did that, I bet even more people would go all crazy about how the anime is a failure for being only 1 cour. If it actually gets confirmed as a total of 1 cour, rant all you want, but this information doesn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know based on anime airing patterns.
