KSL Live World 2016 has just finished, and we got some pretty cool news announced during the event (which was simultaneously announced on the Rewrite Anime official twitter). And guess what? The opening and ending themes for the upcoming Rewrite anime have been confirmed!

I prefer beyond the darkness as ending because it has more impact on me, but its true that beyond the darkenss doesn’t fit well in the common route as ending, and they can use it as special endings in some important episodes, lets hope they use it!
I would argue that you should give Sasayaka na Hajimari a chance to have impact on you but… none of the Harvest Festa routes were really impactful lol
I’m very glad that we’re getting the Harvest Festa ED as the anime ED to be honest. 
I listened to the ED for Harvest Festa, and I’ve been in love with it ever since. Its very fitting, a very upbeat song for common. I do prefer the Harvest Festa ED over that other ED that uses saxophones and all that. It has the kind of “Everything is happy and will be okay” feel to it, which is a nice feeling in the Rewrite universe.
Very happy that 8-Bit chooses to go this way. Now we just need to see what OP will be used for Terra, and what ED’s will be used.
I’m all good with Sasayaka na Hajimari being the ED. It’s a really really good song. I shed tears when I first listened to it with the understanding of the lyrics. It brought me back up when I was at the low of my life, those lyrics… Anyway, I kinda hope it is used as the entire anime finale song though =X
And like Nemeios said, I do hope all the other songs will be some kind of insert songs at the end of important episodes. Itsuwaranai Kimi e seems like a good song for a cliffhanger episode at the end of all the routes before Moon, assuming they will create some kind of apocalyptic ending before Moon. The lyrics don’t fit but the song’s feel does XD
I don’t think the Harvest Festa ED would be fitting for Rewrite when the serious parts come along… But for sure Common (and Harvest Festa if they decide to do another season with OVA’S telling Harvest Festa events)
I’d rather have those other songs (Itsuwaranai Kimi E, Koibumi, Canoe, Watari No Uta, etc) play in their rightful place. Itsuwaranai Kimi E for Akane, Koibumi for Shizuru, Watari no Uta for Moon, and Canoe for Terra. Those songs were made for those certain routes. Wouldn’t feel right playing then elsewhere.
And I hope they only play those songs at the ending of the routes, for the final episode of their route (if their routes are adapted). Those songs are songs that you should only hear once, to express how important the moment is, and how important the song is for the certain route. Hopefully 8-Bit doesn’t “milk” the songs out and play them after every sad moment to the point where it can literally be the main ED for the season AHEM J.C. W/ Song For Friends in Refrain**
As for the insert songs, I’ve said this before but yah, I hope they use the insert songs (branch album) as Ending songs for each heroine’s route (if they do adapt all the heroines routes). We already have ED’s for Shizuru’s and Akane’s routes, but it would be nice to have one for the other heroines too.

In terms of explaining what Rewrite is about, Sasayaka na Hajimari is up there with CANOE as the best thing there is. Sasayaka na Hajimari is a lot more subtle about it though which makes it appropriate for an ED. It also the most Kagari-focused song from the games. Saying it only fits the common route is absurd. Like, the more I think about it the more I agree with this decision.
Definitely looking forward to Sasayaka na Hajimari. When I first heard the song, I was legit playing it on loop for a few days cus I loved it so much. 
While, at first glance, many would agree with you, this song is happy enough to be used as a lighthearted ED, and powerful enough to be used in serious moments. It’s the perfect ED
And yeah I went and listened to the song while reading the lyrics and literally started crying at the chorus. You’re not alone @SquallEC
I really like how they’re using Sasayaka na Hajimari for the ED. It reminds me of how the Clannad anime has one of its endings as Torch ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIYfQWky4SQ ).
So lighthearted to accompany the feels, love it
At first I was like wtf is sasayaka na hajimari but I remembered it’s the last song in dye mixture and I love it so much. I’m so ready for this anime right now

Ahah… Sorry. I’ve only heard the song. Haven’t seen any translations for the lyrics, so I didnt really know the meaning behind it.
I thought the same thing ! I thought that the 2 songs were very similar in terms of what the ED may look like (having people walking).
I haven’t listened to Sasayaka na Hajimari before because I didn’t get a chance to play Harvest Festa but it sounds exciting that Philoshopyz will be used in an arranged version as well. I will probably listen it to as soon as possible before the anime comes out.
