New planetarian and Rewrite CDs Coming on 9/21

What a doozy! With the first batch of music CDs out earlier today, we now suddenly have news of the next batch of CDs coming out, all of them with a release date of September 21!

For Rewrite, we'll be having two CDs released on that day. The first being

I have a feeling that “End of the world” and “Word of dawn” will be the OP/ED for Kagari’s route.

Insert songs usually don’t have a “TV Size” Ver

We didn’t get any official confirmation regarding how these songs will be used in the anime.

On a side note, I’m really loving that Kotarou x Kagari art. (Rewrite Kotori spoilers)Anyone noticed a piece of Kagari’s ribbon connecting to Kotarou’s aurora? Nice one Hinonie~

My bet is that End of the World will be an insert song while Word of Dawn is the last episode ED. :))

Nah, it will probably be Song of Passage or something.

We have 4 new songs here:

“End of the World”
“Hetakuso na Uta”
“Word of Dawn”
“Okiraku☆Kyuusai”

I’m pretty sure that the OP will change when we get into Kagari’s route so yeah, it will be probably be the OP/ED for it.

OR…

It can be the OP/ED for the 2nd cour adapting Terra.

If these songs were really to be an OP/ED for a new cour, I found it doubtful that they’d release it on September. Usually these things are released as the cour is airing. That being said, I’m more confident in them being insert songs. Or them changing the OP/ED somewhere down the line is also an option

There’s no way they’re not using Rewrite (the song). I’m still convinced a second cour is coming.

I think these might be alternate EDs.

What if they aren’t for a new cour? 1 cour shows have changed OPs (it’s rare and the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Gokukoku no Brynhildr changed to “Virtue and Vice” for episodes 10-13) and we’ve already seen they’ll change the ED for routes.

There are plenty of shows which swap through a selection of different EDs with each episode. ef and Kokoro Connect come to mind immediately.

ReLIFE this season did as well and I can think of a couple others but not for OPs.

I assumed that as well but after thinking about it, the album will be released this september, and the 2nd cour won’t probably come until 2017, they can’t release the OP/ED CDs of a second cour before its even out.

so these songs will be either insert songs/special EDs or straight out new OP/ED.

I was excited to hear about those CDs after the fact we just gotten Philisophyz/Sasayaka na Hajimari. I would have to say that the song “End of the World” would be an insert song, maybe for the end of the first cour, where as “Word of Dawn” being the start of the new 6th route for Kagari. It would transition the series as we get closer to the core of the story and the important details later would be revealed.

As for planetarian, I would definitely love to hear the vocals for “Gentle Jena” as it has been one of my favorite songs for the VN and this new arrangement is very melodic and beautiful at the same time. Even “Hoshi no Fune” with Lia providing the vocals is always amazing just to hear her angelic voice. :blush:

I’m looking forward to hearing them as they come out. :smile:

Perhaps you meant the OPs and EDs are out today (in the anime)? Because, no, the CDs aren’t out yet.
