As we're slowly getting into the groove of the currently-airing Charlotte anime, we've been hearing more and more music from the series. From the Opening and Ending to the BGM tracks, Charlotte has proven to be a trove of great music. But it doesn't end there! We still have a
Both songs are good right now I perfer How Low Hello’s song ZHEIND seems lacking in something but I am sure they will be really good once there is a full version or a new song . Hopefully they will go all out like how they did it with Girls Dead Monster.
It’s actually quite Sad Machine-esque. That’s a good impression. Maeda loves post-music and is very good at expressing what he finds so alluring about it- That representation there is fairly accurate. Iwasawa’s description of it is equal to his own.
YOU’RE ALL INSANE. Listen harder -w- Turn it up, close your eyes and take it in.
My favorite parts are the overall progression, the harmonies (That RIFF + the added track at 1:50 is amaaaaazinnnnnnnnnnng!!!) and Marina is so perfect. Draws out her syllables really well and in stride with the tune. All wrapped up in a brilliant shoegazey drum track. It’s like a drug, man.
I just did my rare check-up of the front page, so I finally got to listen to these songs.
How-Low-Hello’s song is nice. It’s a bit of a mess, which I like. It has a nice constant beat, and the singer is good. I’m not sure if I’d like all of their songs, but this one is good. I think I’d get bored of it quickly though, like most songs of this style. It’s good for an occasional listen, and I imagine it’d be great live.
I think I’d listen to the ZHIEND song more. These types of songs always make me nostalgic, and they are really relaxing. It’s the type of song I’d listen to while staring out of a window. Everything kinda blurs, and you fade away into the nothingness. It’s still not something I’d listen to regularly… but I’d group it with the music I listen to just to blank out. Things like the Walking With Strangers album, or some of the peaceful Linkin Park songs.
I think the best way to describe the ZHIEND song is… Escapism in audio form.
I wasn’t too fond of singer days, the intro was pretty but other than that it didn’t do much for me.
Scar on Face was very pretty, the guitar was incredible and the singer had a very unique voice. That’s nice to see in a song from an anime because they typically go for the more perfect pop styled vocals and tune it heavily, her voice was very raw and real. I may buy the full song when it comes out
Really digging ZHIEND. Not quite the “post-rock” I was expecting, but musically it reminds me of early 90s shoegaze with more prominent vocals. Definitely looking forward to more. And as a serious question, is the ZHIEND song in English? I can’t really tell.
