Hi everyone! I drew Kanata. This may be an EX spoiler so I’ll put a spoiler tag on it (unless told otherwise). It’s nothing great, but I just really love Kanata as a character. I originally drew this for the Key Art Portal but thought it wasn’t good enough, so I’ll just post it here. Alicemagic playing at the end always makes me smile
Since today (at least in Japanese time which is April 5th) is Komari’s birthday, I’ll just leave this here
I’m as excited as the next guy for the Little Busters English localization so I took some time one day and spent my afternoon with my nendoroid. Here are my favorite shots of Kud. Albeit not my favorite girl from Little Busters, definitely a lovely character design!
On my way to taking this shot, I actually dropped her on accident. You can see on the left side of her front bang, a little scratch is on there. Need to get to fixing that soon
I had to compress these files so they make look a bit blurry. The originals can be found here

I don’t think I’d necessarily call it “fanart” per say, but I think there are people who can appreciate these pictures I took.
(Edit: It appears the system automatically downloads the images in order to embed them into the post. As a result, some color information is lost. I’d recommend checking the images out on my photography page~)
Pretty cool, but before I say anything else about it, would you mind explaining to us what’s behind this piece of art?
What do you mean “What’s behind it”?
What Chesca thinks that it represents and why she chose that composition, the colours…
I don’t really have a deep reason why I drew this one, but I did intend it to be darker yet somewhat wistful. I wanted to draw someone who’s dreaming awake and Komari sort of just popped in my mind but I guess I wasn’t just in the right mood to whisk something like that at the time.
So here’s a simpler version of it I guess? I was feeling bubbly at the time and thought of drawing something cute and light.
It was mainly because when I saw the drawing and thought about Komari’s story, I thought that it could very well represent how Komari is living inside an Egg and how the immense world that life is is just outside that window. Therefore, I think the contrast between the white walls and the window was terrific in this drawing’s context.
This seems like the most appropriate place to post this. So for the Little Busters 10th Anniversary, I wanted to go all out, maybe do something I had never done before. So I set out on a quest to recreate Komari’s (in?)famous master work, “The Penguin That Tried His Hardest.”
I’ll be honest, I underestimated the amount of time a 30-page, full-color picture book would take to complete. I easily spent over a dozen hours on this over the course of 5 or so days, and that’s just the book itself: I also scanned each page individually, gathered and organized the voice clips of Komari reading the book, timed the video so the images would come up at the proper time, added English subtitles… truly, a labor of love.
Well, Komari seems satisfied, too:
I’m glad you saw it that way I usually don’t talk too much about my drawings because I want people to interpret them themselves. And, they usually explain it much better than I thanks!
@SuikaShoujo This so freaking adorable. I showed it to my sis and she liked it a lot. Komari will be so proud and Penguin-san is satisfied
That’s amazing!! Great work Suika! You deserve a baseball for that.
