Kazamatsuri.org AIR Bookclub Podcast Part 3: Kano Route

Concluding another segment of the AIR Bookclub, I present to you the Kano Route podcast! There were a lot of hiccups with the production of this one, including cast members being sick or absent, Yerian's computer dying after recording, and just generally not having a lot to talk about, but I think we made the most of it! We managed to keep this episode down to an hour, so it'll probably be the shortest episode of the entire AIR Bookclub Podcast. Nonetheless, we think you'll be happy with the product! We had a lot of fun producing it.

The episode has been added to the xml feed, and you can also download the mp3 here. Otherwise, you can view the podcast on Youtube below.

If you're just joining us and would like to listen from the start, you can find the first episode here, and if you'd like to learn more about the AIR Bookclub, please view our original post.

Ohhh my god that intro. I love you guys so much. I couldn’t comprehend a thing in Aspi’s monologue but I was laughing all throughout. I guess I should learn more Pikonese as well~ That way, I’d be able to understand Yerian’s stand-in :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess the conclusion we have with Kano’s route is just… not well written enough to understand >_< I myself have absolutely no explanation for the weird powers and the other supernatural stuff. Really the only thing I can fathom to understand is the way the feather works, which I’ve already talked about in the topic.

Thanks for answering my keypoint about Yukito’s Houjutsu! I totally forgot about his explanation of “touching inanimate objects” so that clears up a lot.

You took the words out of my mouth though. I think that’s why it feels so good: Because we do not only see the girl happy, but we see Yukito happy as well.

The “magic” at the end, BTW, was that Kano can make someone fall in love with that town. And that is exactly what she did

Also it seems that I mistyped my second keypoint… I was wondering “how does Kano being brought up by Hijiri affect the way she is” and now I feel bad for saying the wrong thing x.x urgh. Looks like in that part of my post, I was starting to fumble with my words and didn’t explain it well enough. My bad Dx

Like, I think that maybe if Hijiri taught Kano about her “split personality” maybe Kano could have dealt with it herself, instead of having to hide it. We know Kano is eventually aware of herself being possessed but Hijiri tries to hide it ever since they were young. So maybe, just maybe, Kano could have “controlled” her own possession. Just a thought~

And ooooh god Bowiie. How did you even. That is amaaaazing observation power right there. It might be coincidence. It might not be. But damn, is it one weird coincidence. He da real MVP!

And hey, I’m glad that I was able to make MVP for this route. I did think it would be nice-to-have but I never actively sought after it. I just posted what I wanted to post (which ended up being too much as usual). So don’t expect me to stop my 6000+ character posts even after getting this! Though I’ll make sure to review them before posting, next time orz

But hey, it was still an enjoyable podcast to listen to. Great work everyone! Pikkori!

Oh, I didn’t know their dad died from overworking. Wow.

Interesting bit about Bjork. My Dad had a celebrity crush on her, and when I was like… 12 or 13, I went on a school trip to a sound museum nearby that had an exhibit on her. Never looked into her acting roles, didn’t even know she acted, but the story of that movie sounds strangely terrifying. Kaza watches?

Woooah, I just looked at the background to see how obscure the find was, and I think I remember my Dad having that book (or one similar to it.)

It was full of interviews and lots of pictures. No idea what the actual content was, because pfft reading, and I never really liked her “music” stuff.

When I went back and looked again I did notice that The Juniper Tree the movie that I was talking about only had DVD releases in US and Japan, she actually ended up tied to Japan pretty closely.

Ah, it wasn’t in the UK? Wonder why…

But yeah, I’d like to watch it and contrast it to the Kano route, and AIR as a whole. Might check it out once all the bookclubs are done.

You guys seemed to really pull through on this, despite all the hiccups in planning. This podcast seems to be quite fitting to Kano’s route, as it is very patchwork and feels rather short and just barely complete. Unlike the route, though, you guys do have a lot of meaningful things to say (yes, even Yerian. XD). I noticed that when you talked about Yukito’s ethical reasoning when it comes to his Houjutsu, that it kind of backs up my thoughts on the symbolism behind Yukito’s Houjutsu, but I’ll talk more about that when we get to Summer.

I totally knew Pepe was going to be MVP. Was there ever any doubt? XD

I was genuinely thinking of @Bowiie , since he made some pretty great responses in the thread. Plus that amazing observation XD

American and can confirm that Australian "pico"s are the superior "pico"s.

Can we submit Picos for the next podcast?
