Introduce Yourself!

Hey @Token. Sakura Swim Club, huh? I’m assuming that’s through Steam, so have you read the Fault series? Because the Fault series is where it’s at.

Oh, I love speedruns! Can’t do them myself, but I love watching. Especially Super Mario 64, the classic game to run. What games do you do?

Nice to meet you @Solaris and @Token. Enjoy your time here and lets enjoy the wonderful word of Key together.

Hello everybody, I’m Ali from Melbourne, Australia. My introduction to Key’s works was through the CLANNAD anime series which I came across a couple of years ago. I have since read most of the VN (waiting for the steam release before I venture into After Story) and eagerly anticipate interacting and discussing with fellow key enthusiasts when the bookclub starts off.

I’ve read/watched snippets of other Key works and hope to delve a little deeper into other visual novels (notably Rewrite) when I finish reading CLANNAD. Otherwise, I enjoy good storytelling and particularly like how the visual novel medium goes about it. Nice to meet you all

@Token, @Solaris, @Ali. このフォーラムへようこそ! (Kono fōramu e yōkoso / Welcome to this forum!)

Haha thank you for the late welcome @Aspirety, I really appreciate all the effort you make to keep this forum up and running

Welcome Ali, nice to meet you.
I hope you have a nice time here.

I’m not really sure what I’m doing but this place looks really fun.

I saw Clannad over this summer and fell in love. I haven’t played any VNs (with the exception of Fate on my friend’s computer…) and I hope to fully immerse myself in the Clannad VN when it comes out on Steam. I hope to get into Air and Charlotte as well, even though they aren’t nearly discussed as much.

I found out about this site from the Clannad subreddit and am looking forward to the book club. The community here seems great and I can’t wait to be part of it.

To answer the other prompts, I would consider a jack of all trades, yet a master of none. I play tons of games, but I really like writing little flash games, making shorts on youtube, making minimalist digital art, writing short stories, making RPG dungeons, etc. Pretty standard stuff… but… I also started a cult for Moonbase by Maid Marian.

EDIT: Huh, this is using my Gravatar, which just so happens to be a dango. This is amazing.
Its funny, up until this point, this site has most certainly seen much more discussion on both of those than CLANNAD. It’ll probably make up for the lack of discussion you seem to be finding everywhere else.

Make sure you check out Little Busters! (thats my favorite) and Angel Beats! as well (a very close second, although that might change as its still unfinished). Although I’d recommend the VNs over the anime for both of those.

As I said, we’re glad to have you here. Hope to see you around and hear your thoughts

Nice to meet you @Autumn, I hope you have fun here like you expected. You are really lucky as a Clannad fan since you arrived here when the Clannad bookclub starts.

Oh, I think I remember it using my Gravatar way back when too. Totally forgot that was a thing.

Welcome, @Autumn, @Token and @Ali! Nice to meet you all!
Hope you don’t mind my personal bias, but AIR is great. Such a game-changer for me. Charlotte not so much, but I’m probably one of the few people who will defend the show for what little it did right. :stuck_out_tongue:
Judging from what you do, you seem quite the renaissance man (or woman, if that’s the case). I’m sure you’ll fit right in.

Huh, this is using my Gravatar, which just so happens to be a dango.
Hmm, that’s new. Maybe Upp added it along with today’s framework overhaul?

That’s actually been here ever since forever. My gravatar is and has always been Chibimosu, and that ended up my first avatar when I was here

Hello, I’m Dean. I’ve been stalking this site quietly for some time, but I’ve never had a reason to really join. But I was curious about the upcoming Clannad book club, so I decided I’d sign up.

 • I live in Florida.
 • The first Anime I watched was Clannad. I’ve since read all of the (main) VNs except Kanon and watched all of the Anime except Air. I personally love Rewrite the most; I find the main conflict to be quite relatable and I find new themes and connections every time I re-read an arc.
 • Found this place from Googling Kazamatsuri one day. Read some Rewrite and I wanted to know a bit more about the city. Found this place instead.
 • I’ve been playing a load of Splatoon lately. I really love that game.
 • Bonus: I was interested in the book clubs as I said. It’s a real pity I wasn’t around during the Planetarian or Air ones. It would’ve been fun to participate.

Welcome @Autumn! It’s always exciting to get people new to visual novels here.
And welcome @dne1494! Glad you could join us! I’m still thinking I’d like to make a Kaza squid squad at some point.

Hello all, I’m nightwheel and I am from Kentucky.

My love for Key started with the Angel Beats anime, then grew when I saw the Clannad Anime.

I loved Clannad so much that I backed the Kickstarter since I wanted to be able to experience the original story in it’s original format. I had looked into getting the game legally other ways before the Kickstarter, but those options were less than ideal. So I am glad the Kickstarter came to be.

So anyways, hi everyone!

Welcome @nightwheel! It’s really awesome whenever we meet people who love Key’s anime enough to bother going through the effort to read their original stories, and even coming to places like this to discuss them. It’s a journey we’ve all made. You’ll find many brothers and sisters here! I look forward to hearing your experience of the CLANNAD Visual Novel!

Welcome @Autumn, +1 for Fate, but you should definitely read Little Busters, Rewrite and Angel Beats (or watch that), and your gravatar being a dango is the universe telling you that you belong here!
And heyo @dne1494, just talking a bit with fellow Key-fans (or anime-fans in general) should be a good enough reason to join, no?^^
And finally ahoi @nightwheel, nice that you supported the Kickstarter, are you going to read any other Key-VNs, like LB now that it’s getting an official release?
