First Harmonia PV Revealed!

Key are commemorating the 1st of April this year by uploading a PV for Harmonia! This is our first real look at the game outside of a few illustrations and paragraphs describing the story. Check out our announcement article, which outlines the setting and the two main heroines. As speculated in our article on the upcoming Harmonia single, Kai has been confirmed as the game's planner, and we also have Shinji Orito composing the music! We also get our first look at the protagonist in the PV, named Rei. It's especially noteworthy that he was shown to have a sprite of his own, meaning we might actually get a Key game with a fully sprited protagonist! Time will tell.

I’ll try to translate it with my very limited knowledge of Japanese.

The story revolves around a robot boy who doesn’t have emotion, named Rei. He wants to get closer to human, so he went out to the ruined world. Then he met the singing girl, Shiona… And thus their time together starts to tick by.

Scenario writer Kai confirmed.
Character design by Hinoue undoubtedly.
Music by Shinji Orito.

Yep, planetarian vibe definitely here.

I did the Umineko thing and made katakana into all caps. [] = text on the screen, the rest was spoken. The asterisks means that the translation is slightly awkward.

The only thing I can say about this is the art is sooooooo so beautiful. Hinoue makes such great art when she feels like it (and makes terrible art when she doesn’t). But yeah, I’m interested in Harmonia now, if only for the art style. The fantasy setting makes it even more appreciative to the art style, I gotta say!

OMG! I didn’t know this. I thought it was “he”.

Harmonia reminds me of the upcoming anime Plastic Memories. It seems like a similar plot.

Wait so is this going to be a short novel like the planetarian one? I can’t imagine it being long seeing as how they made a huge VN such as AB as of late.

I don’t think thewre have been anything sating how long the game will be but it will be a kinetic novel like planetarian.

Hope you don’t mind if I adapt these translations into a subbed PV? I’ll be crediting you of course.
Also, I’m looking for translations of the text and spoken words at the end of the PV, about the 15th anniversary and who’s making it etc. Maybe even a translation of the song lyrics?

Well I don’t consider it to be a good translation, but go ahead. The staff shouldn’t be too hard to translate since it’s in the video description.

Yeah I’m working on that at the moment. I’m more interested in the line about the Key 15th anniversary.
I’ve also found ANN has provided a rough translation of what’s being said that’s helped clear up some misunderstandings, but there are quite a few things left out.

You mean the thing right when the song starts? All they say there is “15 year anniversary production, kinetic novel Harmonia”
