CLANNAD Release Confirmed: November 2015

Sekai Project have just finished their panel at Anime Expo 2015, and along with heaps of new Visual Novel announcements, flyers were given away detailing one of their next major releases: CLANNAD! Written on the flyers, aside from general info about the VN, is "The English version of 'CLANNAD' is

I think the “unofficial” translation wasn’t bad.
not to mention that I’d never buy a VN on steam, i really like collecting the game boxes.
but it’s a good idea since fans outside japan are having the “region locked” problem.

I read it and some parts were just downright horrible =3= Akio route is the biggest offender of this. So yeah, it definitely needs a good translation, more than anything.

Yeah, which is why they offered physical editions on the kickstarter (which many of us have already backed). Soooo yeah :stuck_out_tongue: Still better to support the official localization

It will prolly be another extra month for physical shipment on the main game. I do hope they ship the add ons with the first game I can’t wait to get my ost and anthology manga.

Oh yeah, that. I only backed the physical copy, and I’m not really willing to pay for a digital copy just so I can play it early ._.

I know right? I backed the physical copy only too, I don’t like digital copies and paying twice is way too much.

I really want a hardcopy of CLANNAD. I just bought the Planetarian hard copy at Anime Expo and I’m really loving the box and disk feel! Honestly, I do not like digital copies at all. There is no collectable feeling (accomplishment/satisfaction) from a digital copy. I will spend a lot of money for just a hard copy so please make them T.T

Well, I don’t know what the heck I was doing at Chara Expo. I took this photo and didn’t read that 2 lines of red words to realize the releasing date is RIGHT THERE! =.=

Probably too much attention was spent on Orito and the merchandises on sale… XD

It was awful. It’s probably the worst translation I know. Did you read After Story? There were parts where sentences didn’t make any sense… Sometimes you didn’t even get a sentence!

And it’s the best part of the latter bits of CLANNAD.

Nah, played bits and parts of it. (played the rest in Japanese).
but the beginning wasn’t bad, was it? maybe it’s bad when the story gets a lil bit complicated.

Till now, I played Rewrite and G senjou no maou in English (unofficial translation) they were perfect. so I thought clannad was the same all the way till the end.

I played the game already, might replay it with the official translation again if so

Beginning was fine but there are parts of the story that are just horrible. And I don’t mean horrible as in they didn’t get the nuance correctly; I mean horrible as in it seems like they just got machine translations and pasted it on there xP So yeah, if you read the whole thing (like I struggled through), I’m pretty sure you’d agree that it deserves a better translation than it currently has.

Rewrite and G-sen were by totally different translation groups, so can’t expect them to have the same quality.

Kind of happy that they decided to release it in November rather than October since I’m going to be busy in college and I’m planning to get the VN on Steam in December so that works well. Better late than never. ^^

“No valid string, make a ticket about it” is best http://imgur.com/FTGq56g
There’s tons of grammar and spelling issues (more so in After Story and in a few of the routes but I think Common was fine) as well as Nagisa’s name disappearing like in that picture. I’m sure there’s other things but it’s been so long I can’t remember everything.

Ugh I remember that, there would be entire conversations made up of “No valid string, make a ticket about it”…
