After a couple months and several conventions with no word, Sekai Project has just released a new update on their progress on CLANNAD, and boy is it a big one!
First and foremost, initial translation is now 100% complete. Not only that, but initial editing is only a few scripts
Now this is some good news for my day. Time to get hyped.
That’s a lot of progress since their last update, holy moly. Things be looking good for their projected release time frame. Looking forward to that.
Also, that tapestry! Wow~ That’s some high quality stuff. Do like.
This just makes me more excited for the eventual CLANNAD bookclub.

I guess that’s to be expected since it was funded but it still blows me away, i don’t know if I’m up for replaying clannad but we’ll see how I feel in November

I have actually never played Clannad before so i’m pretty hyped for this!
Will they release a physical copy for people who weren’t able to be backers? 
I don’t believe so 
We don’t know. The physical copy (with Mabinogi and the fanbook) that they are giving as rewards is special and will only be available for backers. But like planetarian, I guess it’s possible that they might release a regular edition some time later.
Lastly, this is also KICKSTARTER exclusive edition, we cannot sell
additional copies outside of Kickstarter once it’s over so don’t miss
out on this!

Sadly, Sekai Project currently doesn’t have plans to sell physical copies outside of the Kickstarter. They stated once back in January on Sekai Project’s Tumblr that they were discussing whether or not to sell physical copies after the Kickstarter campaign, but there hasn’t been any updates on that front since then.
They were pretty ademant when they said it was only for kickstarter, but you are right we aren’t certain
If I could have ample time for it, I will have my hands on it. Wow, HD mode, this time, huh? Wanna play the whole thing again.
I was honestly ok with the way clannad looked, get me an hd version of air or kanon and I’m sold
