Tomoyo After Bad End Spoilers The whole “Tomoyo drops out of school if she doesn’t save the trees” thing was pretty awkward to me seeing as how she still goes on to drop out in the Tomoyo After bad ends ^^ That achievement is not that kind of a magic switch for her.

Now I really want to know what the cat finding scene looks like if you haven’t completed Misae route yet.

Oh my god it just hit me. Tomoyo at the end says that (paraphrased) “she managed to save the trees, but in return she lost Tomoya for those eight months.” But that’s backwards. Because she managed to save the trees, she gained Tomoya in the end.

To see that you just need to look at the bad end which is literally that alternative she refers to. It was an ending where they stayed together, sure, but Tomoya was stuck in the “I dragged her down” mood forever more. It was only with Tomoyo actually achieving her goal that Tomoya was capable of truly embracing their relationship as equals.

I just keep on finding things I love about this route

Good podcast guys, and good job @daysofsummer! While it was noticeable that you kept yourself more in the background compared to the other guys I feel once you get more comfortable that’s gonna be a non-issue. The points you did bring up were good.

I would assume she doesn’t show up at the festival at all.
That’s true… and yet if we base ourselves on her mentality her phrasing fits - a woman’s heart is indeed complicated!
Worse than that, you also see him realizing that it’s not even the relationship he wants; he ends up lying to himself, but you can clearly see him feeling that staying in this kind of relationship with someone who won’t ever drive him upward again isn’t good in the slightest, especially as they’d be living a lie (I recall him saying she’s “taking refuge herself in her passion” or something along those lines, meaning there’s no actual happiness but the lie of a fake happiness through a passion which is not the one either of them truly wanted, as we say in the podcast they match well because of Tomoyo’s drive, now their passion isn’t a happy/constructive one but pretty much just a final resort to avoid breaking completely, no matter how filled with despair that resort is).
Haha thanks! Well I guess I kinda felt I didn’t want to “impose” myself too much, which at the end of the day is kinda frustrating because I feel I could’ve brought more to the discussion, now I kinda feel like coming back for revenge haha. Still, thanks for the compliments, I had a great time doing this.

I expected a tongue-twister involving the constant repetition of “Tomoyo” and “Tomoya” for the 30 sec recap. Oh well.
