0:53 there’s a guy with marks on his body in a lake.

0:55 there’s someone yelling in a hospital bed (?) and I think it’s this guy:

komari’s brother confirmed

Honestly this is the best OP Key has ever made, at least visually speaking… It was fantastic!

Hype train, coming through…

This is an amazing OP. Props to all who were involved.

Everything I expected and more, visually and musically speaking. There are so many moments that I’m sure will end up being foreshadowing when watched after the series end.

Also, I really want to sing this. ><

That’s amazing! The last scene with the four of them standing side by side seems a little empty on the left don’t you think?

Gonna be on the look out for when the single comes and make sure I have money when it does.

I really love this OP. I love how the beginning starts off with this mysterious vibe, then kind of goes into this soft dialogue, then off to the uplifting chorus

The video is a bit weird but in a good way. Like why the heck are joujirou and yusa are hanging? Anyway I guess it’d be fun to see all those scenes, yeah :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d have to go with the opening to the Moon arc in Rewrite, and I really love Air’s op… but yeah it was pretty incredible, not big on the song though.

I really like the visuals but I’m not sure yet on the song. I’d probably rank it after Rewrite, Tori no Uta and My Soul Your Beats. It’ll probably grow on me as the series goes on though.

Holy shit, I’m loving it. Animation’s gorgeous, the music is beautiful and has a certain touch to it that makes it stand out from the other Key openings that I just can’t quite put my finger on and that stretch between 0:48 and 1:01 specifically is something quite interesting, and Lia… just Lia.

I like how the last 30 seconds is Heartily Song.

This is a pretty rad OP (ED will be better). One of the more visually attractive OPs. Pretty up there with After Story and Refrain. Lots of foreshadowing mixed in with lightheartedness.

You’re forgetting Angel Beats!. The animation there is amazing: one of the reasons it’s one of my favorite anime openings, period.

Nah, I didn’t forget it, I just don’t really dig the OP that much- Despite really liking MSYB. Still good but not as touching as those others. I think Charlotte can grow to be really sweet.

Even if the footage itself isn’t really your cup of tea, you have to admit the animation is phenomenal, and I give PA Works full credit there. As good as Kyoto Ani is and as good as Little Busters! was by JC Staff’s usual standards, they don’t quite stand up to PA Works as I see it.
I’m going to go ahead and call it quits here before this gets too flamey.

I’ve always been a fan of PA Works’ scenery and character drawings, but never really cared for their animation quality per se…

Until Charlotte episode 1. That chase scene was just superb animation, I gotta say. And now this OP is just great too.

So yeah, never really noticed the quality of animation in MSYB and Angel Beats, it’s definitely something I’m starting to notice nowadays fro them.

Not gonna lie, the animation was on fleek :ok_hand:t3::ok_hand:t3::ok_hand:t3: But the song could have been better. I feel like Maeda was trying to include all the elements from his previous work in this op. LB with the guitar. Angel beats with the piano. Lia. And that part where they say fast stuff like in the after story op (I don’t know how to interpret it). Maybe I just didn’t like the transition from the verse to the chorus. But, the song could’ve been better, I’d rate this op better than the LB and Refrain op, but no where near the other key openings. Maeda really needs to work with Shinji Orito again.
