Makes perfect sense to me. Her job is to help students enjoy the school life (which they regretted while they were alive) and thus graduate. Sounds exactly like what a student council president does at a real school. Its the best way to help as many students as possible all at once.

Anyways. Im not really into the silent, stand-offish types. Kanade seemingly has no emotion until the end in the anime. She’s done a bit better in HD, but as we know, Yuri turns her into an antagonist, so we don’t really ever get to see what she’s really thinking. Given her actual objective as we know it from the anime, she has the potential to be a much better character if she, you know, would actually talk more and stuff.
