Yeah, April 1st isn’t a day of pranks for Key. Only the most important day of the year
I’m here at Anime Japan and just wanna confirm for you guys that there is no new PV…
BUT THERE IS AN ULTRA CUTE LIFESIZE CHIBIMOTH PLUSHIE AAAAA
What kinds of information were they giving out (if any)? Or were they just promoting merchandise today?
Absolutely none, unfortunately. Just chibimoth and a few signed shikishi on display
And a kotori pop stand (is that the right term?)
Well, Rewrite is on their lineup for the 27th at 15:00 or something, so maybe something more concrete will be shown then.
Why are they giving so much love to Kotori? I mean she isn’t even the main heroine, and there are alot better girls.
On topic:
They will probably show the preview on March 27th, because on April 1st why would they update the Key site and not the Rewrite site?
Hmm… Maybe because she’s the first heroine you encounter in the game, and is also neutral in affiliation and has a pretty attractive character design. Plus Kagari shows up quite late in the story and that would cause a bit of confusion among the audience if she was made to be the mascot. It’s just a guess though.
As for the Key site, chances are it’s the new Rewrite VN thing that got talked about in the MAL forums.
If we’re supposedly getting more Rewrite info on the 27th, does that mean that Americans will be seeing the news tonight?
That would be tonight at 11 PM PDT (2 AM EDT). I have no idea how long the panel lasts so if there is something it might be like an hour later.
The reason why they are showing much love to Kotori even if she isn’t the main heroine is the same reason why people show Komari to represent Little Busters! Or in some cases, show Yuri to represent Angel Beats!
It’s when the main heroine doesn’t exactly fit the role of the main heroine, so they choose the best girl out of the other girls to represent the story. This will most likely be because she is the 2nd most important girl (1st being the actual heroine) to the story from what the viewers see.
You could argue that Akane’s route is important too (since Tanaka did write it along with Kotori/Moon/Terra) but Kotori’s more marketable for Key fans. Akane is more marketable for pillow cases for people.
Same thing for Little Busters! You can argue that Kurugaya is the main heroine because of her route and because of the other thing that I can’t say cause it’ll be a spoiler and just labeling what it is spoiling. But Komari’s more marketable for Key fans. Yuiko’s more marketable for pillow cases for people.
But yeh, not a big fan of Kotori. Why Kotori when you have Shizuru
On other news @Pepe how much did the Chibimoth cost :3 Looks kawaii and fluffy, like Stich from Lilo & Stitch
I’ve checked the schedules of numerous booths and stages at anime japan and I have found absolutely none that even mention Rewrite. Could I have a source for this? Like which booth or stage and what exact time? Because I swear I WILL go again tomorrow if there really is one.
I don’t get it… Why WOULDN’T you give that much love to Kotori?
Nope :komue: No announcement whether they’re planning to sell it either… only thing written by the plushie is “DO NOT TOUCH”
As much as I love Shizuru, I think the characters’ affiliations may have something to do with it. (Post-common route + Terra)We do have these two factions presented in the story, and the show itself ultimately sides with neither. Out of the five heroines, four of them are affiliated to one of the two, and if they have one of them as the lone mascot, it sort of implies to the audience that their affiliation is given more focus and a positive light on the story.
Let’s say Shizuru for instance. If she’s the one being featured in their publicity, it will later tell the audience that the story focuses and sides with Guardian, an idea that which Lucia Route and Terra shoots down anyway.
With that, we only have Kotori and Kagari left. As for Kagari, (post-Common Route + Moon) she goes sort of yangire mode in some routes, so it’s going to spoil her personality to the audience if they reveal it too early that she’s the main heroine.
Which is why Kotori is such a safe choice as the mascot character.
Rewrite is on their schedule there.
Thanks! Posting a link to the source is a lot more useful than just hearsay.
As for this link though… This is a bit weird. Because it seems like it’s a stream of numerous other events from different booths in Anime Japan, and is not officially sponsored by any of the organizers. As such it provides absolutely NO info as to what booth they’re going to stream this Rewrite thing. Well, since it’s available for streaming, looks like me going to the actual event would be counter-productive
Key should know we all want to touch Chibimoth :komue: If it does happen to be sold anytime soon, HMU ! I gotta get that kawaii-madness ! :minaamor:
Hmm… Like everyone’s expectations (mostly Rewrite forums on MAL and some of Kazamatsuri) is based on this schedule for more information or a preview. And you would say now is a good timing to give us people more information about Rewrite, right? It is even one of their last shows at their booth… Save the best for last? I really can’t imagine they won’t give us any new content/information… I would be highly disapointed.
Guys, guys. www.rewrite-anime.tv says that new stuff is coming on April 1. Thus, we should expect the new stuff to come on April 1, regardless of whatever this AnimeJapan stuff is.
Yea I saw, but someone (can’t remember if it was on MAL or here) said it isn’t particularly saying the information is about Rewrite. It could be something else Key related too. Of course it could be that as well, because it is posted on the Rewrite website.
That’s pretty hilarious because considering the event and the crowd of Anime Japan, they would most certainly not consider Rewrite as the best
And, well, the reliability of this site has gone down for me now because once I enter it plays an ad in the background for a Hatsune Miku game that I cannot stop or mute for no apparent reason
That is most definitely for Rewrite. I can also confirm it because the Anime Japan booth for Rewrite was advertising that something else will appear on Key’s official website on April 1
Ah well, I had my hopes up I guess hahah! We’ll see what Aniplex brings us.
Oh great well then we at least should look forward to April 1st!
