I refrained from discussing this episode because, well, most of you guys already said what I wanted to say. I thought that the pacing was a bit fast but enough to be enjoyable; I also thought that the CG work they did was pretty great. The giant monster at the end (whose name I shall refrain from saying) I thought was done amazingly for CG art. Maybe watching shirobako has made me appreciate CG artists more, heh.
One interesting thing being pointed out, however, is in this blog, who claims that, due to the writer (Romeo Tanaka) being a serial satirist, that Rewrite is pretty much taking a punch at all of Keyās tropes and flipping them over. While I wonāt wholly agree with it, it is definitely something interesting to think about, especially due to the nature of rewrite.
