Key Game Audio Files

Since Key games all have an immense amount of voice clips and bonus audio files, I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread let everyone collectively identify and discuss them.

Identifying voice files can be useful (Fangames and AMV type things), and just for general hilarity, as I’m sure people in the skype chat are already aware of.

The general tool to use for extraction of audio with Key games is called Crass.
This can be found on tlwiki http://tlwiki.org/index.php?title=File:Crass-0.4.14.0.bin.7z
Make sure to check out Taka’s reply below too!

Mark any files that are spoilers with spoiler tags of course!
Here are a few that I have to get it started:

Little Busters

Voices

2001 001845 - CHEAP TRICKS!! - http://puu.sh/d5JAP/19d04e689c.ogg - http://puu.sh/d5JDK/a1c61c085b.ogg

6821 000293 - Kud CHOKOMOKAA
0523 007245 - Masato Eh? Sou ka?
0522 003645 - Masato CHOTTO MATTA!!!
Dorj voices from baseball: http://puu.sh/dnov1/801773f991.zip

BGM
In the BGM files, starting from BGM50 they are all bonus tracks.

BGM50 is “Field Trip” - It also plays when Riki and Kengo are confronting Kyousuke before they have a baseball match.

BGM51 is the Play with Masato music.
The rest are either used in very short segments or are completely bonus tracks.

Rewrite

Voices
Chihaya H-Scene (joking) - http://puu.sh/dr3Oo/ea7a700c4b.mp3 (Recorded ingame for @Bizkitdoh) - This plays at the start of Lucia’s route where Chihaya is eating the very spicy parfait.

If someone wants me to find a specific line of dialogue, sound effect or BGM, don’t be afraid to ask, someone will probably like to find it for you!

For voice files (.ovk specifically) I like to use ExtractData, as it opens the archive instead of extracting every voice file. It’s a lot nicer for people who are touchy with file sizes~

If you have RLDev, extract the SEEN file and you’ll be able to see the names of the voice file being played after each line of text. This is found in the .org file.

How to find the voices without RLDev

For Little Busters! you can find any voiced lines you want by referencing TLWiki’s translation spreadsheet. You want to look for the scene you are looking to get a voice from, and get the SEEN number. For example, if you wanted to get the voice of Masato’s “to the fight” from right at the start of the VN, you would look for “Common Route 5/13” and check its SEEN number, which is 0513.

After finding the SEEN number, you will have to look into the KOE folder in your Litbus directory, and look for the .ovk file that fits with the SEEN number. In this case, it’s the ‘z0513.ovk’ file. Open it up in ExtractData, and then double click each .ogg file until you find the one you want (.ogg files can be opened with Audacity.) If you have the scene open in the VN, you can look for a voice you recently heard and then trace back to the voice you want…
z0513_000050 is the name of the file that contains the line “to the fight.”

Oho, for some reason I never really researched it fully. That’ll all come in handy, thanks!

This is something I wrote years ago, it can both unpack and repack .ovk files: https://github.com/uppfinnarn/LBTools

I have a whole Dropbox folder full of sound clips, no idea what their IDs are sadly, I renamed them to useful things like Zdogagagagagajuppashaaan.ogg =w=

Can anyone find a sound clip from Saya’s route? The sound that plays when you get a Game Over.
I can’t find it anywhere. Looked all over the files.
Found it, silly me. in WAV called LB_SE_H00.

Can someone find the bit in Rewrite common where Akane’s got that “Oh yes” voice clip playing? I can’t remember where it is. I want it, though. Need it in muh life.

Nayuki’s alarm clock is composed of the files KOE/0000/Z000000258.ogg and KOE/0000/Z000000259.ogg.

258: “Asa! Asa da yo~!” 『朝! 朝だよ~!』
259: “Asa gohan tabete, gakkou iku yo~!” 『朝ごはん食べて、学校行くよ~!』

I merged these together (with a little bit of delay between them) for my own alarm. Available here (Google Drive).

Okay I found it in the [wav] folder named OHYES.nwa but I’m not sure what to do with this file format.

Use a converter or something. If you can’t convert than just send it raw.

I’ll look around but you technically already have the file. It only wants to play when opened through extract data it seems.

This is seriously the best topic on this forum.

Thank you based HeliosAlpha! I was actually expecting you to be the one to find this for me. Got my new text tone.

Here it is in mp3 format for those interested.

Is this a thing I’m not aware of or what?

Well you’re pretty much on top of like everything Rewrite. I’ve had a pretty high view of you in that regard since before coming here. Also, you dug up those Esaka clips (or maybe just recorded the audio), so I figured you’d have some experience in the area.

I suddenly want to dig through these files looking for sounds I can turn into ringtones and text tones for my phone!

I think this is the best text tone to scare someone when everyone is focused in class. I laughed way too much when I saw my female friend jump out of her seat hearing Esaka-san’s voice.
