Key Game Audio Files

I was going to upload them to google drive or dropbox for my personal use anyway, and I planned to sort the files there into a more human-readable format, but if no one cares about me linking to the entire folder I’ll just post some favorites of mine. I was noting a severe lack of Yukine adorableness in this thread.

Whatever makes your vessel buoyant, I guess, but people will probably appreciate the select few more. On a side note, the sorting system for Clannad is relatively easy. Most folders are sorted after character, month, and date like z2415 = Tomoyo, April 15th.

Character list is
0 = Neutral
1 = Fuuko
2 = Tomoyo
3 = Kyou/Ryou
4 = Kotomi
5 = Yukine
6 = Nagisa
7 = All the rest with one folder each
Of course there are a bunch that don’t follow this pattern.

@Arete I’d prefer if you didn’t dump the entire voice directory of CLANNAD here. They’re already easily accessible to anybody who owns the game, but uploading them all here could get us in trouble. The occasional sound byte here and there is what this topic is for, and shouldn’t do any harm as it is right now, but I’d rather people didn’t mass upload thousands of sound files here.

Just post particular sound files of interest to you, or make requests for them.

Can anybody tell me how the Tomoyo After voice files are sorted? I’m looking for a couple sound bytes, specifically Tomo’s “Creepy~” from July 8th and Takafumi’s “Gao!” from the talk/study session on July 23rd. How can I go about finding those?

There’s a couple tutorials for that elsewhere by various people. Personally, I find the easiest way is to go through the seen files since I already have 'em extracted.

Looking in the July 23rd seen, we find the rawr line.
We look for the koe number above the line (72300191) and use that to find the correct archive in the koe folder.

Then we open it up and find the correct file. We want number 191.

If you don’t have the seen files, you’ll just have to look through each of the files inside the koe folder to find the correct scene and line. They are named by date, so it shouldn’t be too time consuming.

I was having an issue related to this topic. I have CLANNAD and Rewrite yet none of the voices are playing. Is there a program that can read the .ovk files so I can play the games again, or am I just at a loss and can’t experience them to their fullest anymore?

The issue was that the sound doesn’t play on surround systems.

This sounds more a question for the Tech Support thread, but I’ll try to help.

You’re having an issue when using a surround sound system, but does it work with headphones? And are other sounds like music and effects still playing? You might want to try a reinstall.

Yeah sorry. I realize that I’m in the wrong place for this. Apparently it’s a common issue that the files don’t play properly in 5.1 surround sound. So switching it back to stereo fixes the issue.

Here are some Rewrite Quest Voice clips detailing Chihaya’s love for lumber.

Akane: Chihaya, why are you trying to change your equipment. Your weapon is this piece of lumber.
Chihaya: Why!?

Chihaya: You know, it would be great if I could have a normal weapon like a long sword.
Kotarou: No, use lumber.
Chihaya: Why does it have to be lumber!?

Akane: Hey… There’s a piece of lumber over there. Are you going to get it?
Chihaya: Why are you asking me?

Sorry for bad English.

It sounds like if you were to play them all in quick succession it would sound like one of those custom town themes in Animal Crossing that plays whenever neighbors talk to you.

sorry for necroposting, but does anyone have the whole theme pack? I think it was only available when you purchased the laptop, I’m thrilled to find that some people have it too… I really really want the theme packs… pls upload if you can? Thanks in advance.

can you reupload? They are grayed out

Using this extractor, I was able to unpack the .PAK files of Little Busters! English Edition. The files in MUSIC.PAK I found to be .ogg and can be opened in Audacity. The files in VOICE0.PAK can be opened in Audacity too, but I don’t know what the original file type is.

LBEE uses a type of formatting that combines individual ogg files into a sort of archive, very similar to the ovk format that was used by the original Little Busters! release.

To get the actual audio, instead of using Audacity, you’d have to open the files with a data unpacker like ExtractData.
