I'm going to Japan! Any Recommendations?

Might be hard if the hotel can’t speak english. You could ask your hotel to help you book, and it’d be super nice of them if they did help you

In-flight entertainment is always a lot more fun than you think of at first. I remember spending like 3 hours playing super mario world on a long-haul flight.

Not all fights get that kind of good entertainment. I’ve been on a few 7+ hour flights now and usually they had, like, Mahjong as their most entertaining game. I wouldn’t count too much on having something good to play unless you know ahead of time that your plane model will have it.

Well there are always at least some movies that you can only half-heartedly pay attention to which are good enough to kill the time, I guess? XD

Yeah, you’ll usually get a decent lineup of dated or below average movies to watch. Certainly enough to occupy you. What I’d do if I got really, really bored is just chill out with some music. I mean, I listen to music 24/7 on a flight usually anyways, but just zoning out and thinking to music can be really nice. Also, who knows, you may get someone cool sitting next to you who you can talk with. You can meet a lot of interesting people on plane rides, and they often wouldn’t mind talking if you’re open to it.

Really, though, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Once you’re off the plane, you’ll forget about your ride pretty quickly. It’s just another drop in the bucket. Even though it probably won’t be fun, hopefully you can make it decent enough to manage. Also, I strongly suggest you bring noise cancelling/blocking headphones or just some plain earplugs if you can. Being stuck on a long flight with a crying baby near you can be a nightmare.

Oh no! I was kind of counting on this… Oh well, I downloaded some phrases for booking if worst comes to worst, thanks for the tips Pepe.

I’m going to at least have a book and a laptop on the flight so that should keep me entertained enough. Thanks again!
