Then don’t make it sound like you’re being objective? @Takafumi showed a pretty good line of reasoning as to why it could be called objectively bad writing, and that offers a more productive line of discussion, I think.
That’s a good point that I don’t know if they just forgot, or there is some ulterior motive behind not following it. Sure, people don’t like being spoonfed, but it would be nice to be able to experience being able to fill in the blanks with your own capability.
Then again, storytelling, from an author’s perspective, could be a more artistic form; a form of self-expression, rather than appeasing an audience. Sometimes those create the best kinds of works; other times, they go unappreciated.
